Good day. This article may be useful for those who are faced with the problem of shutting down or lack of hot water. The methodology will also be relevant for cottages, where to install purchased water heaters is not always advisable.


Necessary materials



The source of water heating will be a gas hob. There are 2 options for how to quickly make a instantaneous water heater, but the principle of their operation is the same.

In the first case, a copper tube is required. In the second option - an old automobile radiator (it is better to give preference to copper, but there it is). You will also need 2 hoses and 2 clamps.


Stages of manufacturing a water heater



If you use a copper tube as a heating element, then initially it will need to be bent so that a spiral is obtained. You can make the coil neat and even if you wrap the tube several times around another pipe of the required diameter or something similar, as shown in the photo.

(The picture was taken from the network as an example, since my bending process was not shot on the camera because I preferred to make a flowing water heater from the radiator of the stove auto).

The main thing is that one edge of the pipe be free, otherwise it will not work to remove the spiral.
All further steps for the manufacture of instantaneous water heater for the copper coil and radiator are the same.

Need to take 2 hoses. One of them is connected to a faucet with cold water, and the other end to the radiator pipe of the stove (or copper pipe). The second hose, respectively, to the second pipe. Heated water will flow from it.

To prevent leakage, clamp the edges at the junction of the hose with the water heater element with a hose clamp. In my case, such actions were not required, since the whole village is quite tight.

We open the cold water tap, light the fire and lay the radiator (or coil) on top of the hob.

Final result



In the course of all the above actions, the instantaneous water heater heated the water. Her temperature was in the range of 37-41 degrees. The water pressure was small.

A homemade gas instantaneous water heater works and is well suited for many domestic needs, but there are also drawbacks.Due to the fact that the water manages to warm up with a small pressure, it will be inconvenient to use a home-made heater in order to bathe in the shower.

Maybe so. But the radiator that was opened like from Gas 52 or 53 there did not see a partition. I got caught from some kind of compressor, I cut off part and adapted it for heating water. So I noticed from this metal much faster and hotter water came than from a car radiator, I have a brand new brass one. And since there is already a gas boiler and a gas stove in the kitchen, it is unlikely that they will be allowed to put a gas column. sorry And in another room there is no way to set. So at least such a way out of the situation. It is not profitable to set an electric heater expensive, and even 1 cubic meter of gas is equal to about 9 kilowatts of electricity. So gas is cheaper.

You just do not know how the radiator of the car stove is arranged. Therefore, write this. For information, a special partition is installed in the radiator of the car’s stove, which does not allow the coolant to pass directly from the entrance to the output, but causes the coolant to pass through the entire radiator.

It is better to use a radiator when the tubes go in series and not like in a car radiator. On the left the tank and on the right are connected by pipes. It is clear that the water enters the inlet tube is mixed here and goes into another tube. I got a radiator from an industrial refrigerator, like, the water is much hotter with it. It was no coincidence that I compared both radiators and realized what the difference was. I drew about what it looks like ......

In winter I need to drain water from it ... But in winter I I’m never sitting there ... And if anything, I’ll heat it in a saucepan

What are you talking about??? How many kilowatts of power does gas comfort have ??? Minuscule !!! And minus miserable efficiency ??? ... WHAT IT WILL HEAT ????
Isn't it easier to hang a geyser if there is no money for a gas boiler? (Now you can take a primitive column for a penny ...)

My grandfather tried to do this, only the radiator was bigger, he seemed to be warming himself with two hotplates at full throttle. So, the water manages to heat up to "bathing temperature" only when it goes in a very thin stream. In general, while the bathtub of water is typed, it will already cool.
