Hello to all lovers to make something. Often there are times when you need to solder something, whether it's replacing usb ports, replacing charging sockets or some kind of microchips and the like. It is very inconvenient to do this with a soldering iron, and for the frequent it is simply not possible, and it is not always possible to buy such an instrument, either it is not in the store or finances will not allow it. That's why I want to present you a very budget hot air gun, which can be assembled in half an hour.
In order to make our budget hot air gun, we need:
* not necessary but quite working soldering iron
* also not necessary and working ordinary hair dryer
* approximately 20 cm not thick copper wire
* one liter plastic bottle
* hose with a diameter of 5.5 mm, length 50 cm
* not a big piece of mica, 5x5 cm
* phone charger, 4.5 V, 0.6 A
* Another soldering iron and solder to solder a couple of wires
* a couple of screwdrivers
* and some electrical tape
Well, in principle, this is all we need, we can proceed.
Step one.
We take a soldering iron, which we will not solder, remove the tip from it and carefully disassemble it, so as not to damage the heating element, we also unwind the wires from it.
Next, take a handle from the soldering iron and make a small hole in it.
We insert the wire into the hole that we made, we wind the wires to the heating element, do not forget about the electrical tape, you need to properly insulate it.
Next, collect the soldering iron, and wrap it with electrical tape where the wire is inserted and at the end of the handle, because there is a large gap and it will not work well if the air blows in the wrong place.
We take a piece of mica, which we prepared and tightly wrap the holes on the tube, inside which there is a heating element, and tightly tighten it with wire.
Next, we take the bottle cap, make a hole in it to firmly insert the hose there, and insert the other end of the hose into the handle of the soldering iron, where we previously had a wire, in my case it fits there just perfectly.
Second step.
We take a hair dryer and disassemble it, in my case it was almost without a case.
We take out all the insides from it, cut off the wires and the heating element from the motor with a fan.
We take the charger from the phone and solder to the motor, it is not necessary to observe the polarity, but I advise soldering so that the air blows towards the motor so that it cools itself.
Step three.
Take a bottle and crop it, about 12.5 cm.
Next, we insert our fan into it, and wrap it with tape or tape to prevent popping up and air leakage.
We wrap the lid with a hose and that's it, the manufacturing of our budget hot air gun is done, thank you all for your attention and wish easy soldering.
