Remote start of equipment

Good afternoon!

I make a packing table for wrapping pallets. The principle is simple, a pallet with a load is installed on the turntable, next to a fighter with a manual dispenser filled with stretch film. The table is started from the pedal. The table starts rotation and wraps the film on the pallet until the load is properly packed.
The pedal seems to be not bad, but it occurred to me to mount an IR start / stop button or radio control button in the dispenser handle to start the packer.
The problem is that I can’t find a ready-made compact device for translating ideas into reality. Something in the form of a button with power, an IR transmitter, which can be mounted in a dispenser.
Apparently needed homemade for homemade ... in general, I hope for community ideas!

Dispenser handle - pipe D 23-25mm.

What is it for? At work there are 2 palletizers (packers), in them one IR only considers revolutions and the second makes sure that the roll does not rise above the pallet. Start button, stop automatically after eight full revolutions of the table. A fighter only knits a pallet leg and knits it and tears off the film after stopping. If there is no way to automate this process, then really how pogranec wrote to do it.
I'm certainly not special, but IR probably will not help you. There the signal should be eye to eye, so to speak. But something like that probably will do. There are ali options for 220 V through a power relay to connect. Pressed on, pressed off.
