DIY hanger for coat hanger

Hello to all lovers homemade. It's no secret that clothing plays a big role in human life, it helps us overcome the cold seasons, and also protect ourselves from the effects of the external environment, whether it is snow, rain or other adverse weather conditions. Upon returning home, there is always a place to be hangers for clothes, which allows you to place, for example, your jacket until the next exit to the street. The fact is that hangers sold in stores can’t always be installed in a convenient place, whether due to lack of space or simply inappropriate design that does not fit into the overall interior of the hallway. In this article I will tell you how to make a home-made hanger for a coat hanger, which will always be in second availability and at the same time not take up much space.

To make a coat hanger do it yourself, would need:
* A few boards
* Sawing machine
* Dowel milling cutter
* Reysmus
* Jointing machine
* Wood glue
* Clamps
* Wooden dowels
* Metal chrome pipe
* Flange for pipe mounting
* Electric drill
* Screwdriver
* Self-tapping screws
* Pencil
* Glues for gluing
* Sander
* Angle grinder

That's all the materials and tools with which you can make this homemade product.

Before proceeding to read the step-by-step assembly, I suggest watching a video on creating this hanger.

Getting to the assembly.

Step one.
First you need to level the surface of the square board on the planer, and then pass it through the thicknesser, this is done so that when gluing the boards there are no gaps that can weaken the part due to loose pressure across the entire plane.

Step Two
Now it is necessary to cut the board on a sawing machine, in this case it was necessary to make a dozen narrow boards. When working with the sawing machine, be very careful and use protective equipment, goggles and a respirator.

After all ten planks are ready, glue them together into one “pie” and press them with the help of hems for gluing the boards. Next, we wait for the glue to completely dry.

Step Three
The finished shield from the boards is cut in half on a sawing machine, then each part is jointed.

After joining the boards, you need to make an oblique cut at 45 degrees to further dock the parts.

We also drive parts through the thicknesser, achieving their uniform thickness.

Grind the workpiece with a grinder with medium-sized sandpaper.

Step Four
Set the angle 45 on the dowel milling cuttero and make holes for future dowels in each part, two for each will be enough.

Pour glue into the finished holes and with light taps of the hammer we hammer dowels, and for better bonding we clamp the parts with clamps and a homemade device for gluing corners.

Step Five
It's time to saw off the required length of chrome pipe for the hanger, an angle grinder helps in this. When working with angle grinders, be careful to keep flammable objects away and use earphones as well as safety glasses. With its help, we grind the end of the pipe and remove the burrs in the saw cut.

Step Six
Now install the pipe on a makeshift wooden frame of the future hanger using pipe flanges.

On each of the flanges there are three holes, due to which the pipe will be attached to the planks. First you need to drill holes for screws, and then screw the flanges with the pipe to the boards with a screwdriver.

The final touch is the protection of the hanger from external influences, moisture and contamination. It is best to use oil for wood of furniture.

The home-made hanger is ready for this, its installation in the room is very simple and does not take much time, it is enough to install a couple of dowels in the wall that will securely hold it through the hanger body.

Thank you all for your attention and creative success.

Well, in fact, all the tools can be replaced with simple ones, the same dowel machine with a conventional drill, but here it is all about convenience, and why, if there are machines for these purposes.
Author, make this hanger with ordinary tools.
