He put this sleeve on one of the gears.
In the future, he will weld it to the gear.
In the meantime, he made a groove in the channel under the sleeve to increase the area of the weld.
Before welding the sleeve, the author put a gear in it, and leaned another one from the bottom, he did all this to avoid distortions.
The author took off the gears after he grabbed the sleeve so as not to overheat them, welded the sleeve completely.
Then put the gear in it.
To attach the second gear you need a finger.
The author will also carve it out of the round.
This is the finger that the author made.
Further, in the case, the author cut a square under the finger. I inserted it, put on the gear, aligned everything and welded a finger to the body.

And from this gear the author will cut out the second tooth.
Tooth cut at a slight angle.
And weld this cut tooth in this place of the body.
In order to weld this tooth on the other hand, the author made a small groove for the seam.
And after welding, he aligned everything well.
Gears should be adjacent to each other.
And now the author began to manufacture a tooth from a large gear.
The slice of this tooth, also at a small angle.
Put the gear in place.
And he began to manufacture another sleeve, which will press the large gear so that it, in turn, does not hang from side to side, but fits snugly.
After the author put the sleeve in its place, he decided to slightly heat the teeth.
After hardening the teeth, the author welded the clamping sleeve to the shaft on which the gear is dressed.
Now in this place, you also need a sleeve that would be worn on this key. But the author simplified his task by replacing the bushing with another gear suitable in size.
And the author will weld this lever to this gear.
So that the gear lever does not hang.
The author took a suitable sleeve, put it on the gear shaft and welded it using a round log.

Then the author welded to the pliers an additional platform from a piece of channel, for greater convenience in work.
