If you constantly heat the furnace, then for certain you have a need for chips that you could easily melt the furnace. Of course, the easiest way to chop wood chips with an ax, but this is tedious, since they require a lot. In addition, it is not safe to chop small sticks with an ax, since it is easy to get on the arm.
One author decided to fix this problem and made for himself the simplest device for these purposes. Now it’s easy, safe and quick to get chips, moreover, a woman will cope with such a task.

Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. We need to cut the number of parts
First of all, we take the reinforcement and cut into the desired number of pieces. At the top and bottom of the structure we have to collect the squares. That is, 8 rods will be needed.
These two squares are connected by two rods, they will be the longest. You will also need four more short pieces that strengthen the structure at the base. And finally, you need another segment, on which the knife is held directly.
At the end, you have to make a knife. Here you will need a piece of steel, it is desirable that it contains a large amount of carbon, that is, it is strong. Such steel can be hardened. Cut out a shape from steel like that of the author and sharpen it well. The knife should be like an ax. If the steel is too thin, it will bend, and the wood will break badly. The knife should be in the form of a wedge. The blade can be formed with a grinder.
Step Two Weld the structure
Now you have to weld all the parts together. First, weld a square base, as well as a mirror-like upper part. Connect these two parts with two long pieces, at the base, additionally strengthen them with short ones. Now you just have to weld in the center the part on which the knife is located. After that, the design is ready! If you wish, you can paint it.
It is very convenient to use magnetic corners for welding.
Step Three Test
Homemade ready, you can experience. Just put the chock on the knife and hit it with a hammer on top, it should immediately crack. So easily, quickly and safely you can chop a lot of chips. If you wish, you can make the knife cross, then the device will work twice as efficiently.
