To add (drill) shields with a drill for assembly on dowels, I suggest using centrics. When drilling the shield end, the drill is usually shifted from the mark.
The centrics are tightly inserted into the holes drilled at the end of the shield, the assembled shields are positioned among themselves, after which the pressure on the shield with the eccentrics is applied. On the face of the second shield there are clear prints from the centrics, through which holes are drilled on the second shield, which are obtained "in place".
In the kit you need to have 4 pieces. Important: the centric hats should protrude beyond the edge of the shield so that they can be grabbed with pliers, the tip should be 2-3 mm high, with higher shields it is inconvenient to position the shields with each other.
