Friends, I want to show you photos and videos of my horizontally-axial windmill.
He has a blade diameter of 1530 mm, made of building lining. Such a windmill worked well when charging a cell phone, if necessary, the power can be increased.
A little more ... except for the rotation of the propeller (horizontal axis), it still rotates in the vertical plane (its tail).
At the same time, the screw itself induces the wind by controlling the tail - which is also made of lining.
I won’t open all the “trump cards” and the secrets of production ..)), but I’ll say that a variety of materials are used here, steel, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, wood, plastic ...
Why lining for blades was used ... the fact is that it is cheap, light, flexible, not afraid of water. With strong gusts of wind, especially in summer, the blades often break, a broken lining is easily and quickly removed and replaced with a new one ...
I watched an interesting thing, when billboards were flying from the strong wind in the city and the trees were uprooted, but the blades of my wind turbine were not much damaged ... the truth was that gears in the multiplier broke there, but that's another question ...
If you are interested later I will disassemble it, take a picture and tell you all the stages of production ...
Here is a video of the rotation of a windmill in the wind:
