Good afternoon! Today I would like to show you how to make a UFO or a luminous frisbee for evening games with friends
We will need:
Frisbee itself. This is purchased at Fix-Price.
14500 lithium-ion battery (for Chinese flashlights)
Protection module and convenient charging for it
And also a step-up module that will raise the voltage from the battery for the LED strip. (up to 12 volts)
For convenient battery mounting, let's take such an AA format holder
And of course, the LED strip where without it)
Let's get started!
To start, we solder a home-made power source in this way. We make one of the wires between the modules very long (then you will understand why).
Now check if the security module has started. We insert the battery and see that the voltage at the output of the module is not equal to the voltage of the battery.
To activate the module, connect it to micro USB. Excellent!
Now you need to configure the module to 12 volts. We connect a voltmeter to it and rotate the potentiometer counterclockwise until we get 12 volts. The new module needs to scroll about 10 revolutions before the output voltage starts to change.
Holder is glued directly to frisbee with glue or double-sided tape (do not forget to degrease the surface). We stick the battery right in the middle. In the same place we glue both modules.
We also need an LED strip. Cut it into four pieces.
Again, degrease the surface of the frisbee from traces of sweaty palms and, using our own sticky layer of tape, gently glue it.
Now we solder the whole thing together - minus from the boost module to all the minuses of the tapes. And exactly the same with the pros.
Super! Everything works!
Now cut the long wire (which is between the modules). We take out a spring from the lighter and insert a carnation into one of its ends.
About a third of the spring is slightly bent. One of the wires is exposed and carefully wound to a spring.
Then, using a second glue with soda, glue the spring on the edge of the frisbee.
The second end of the cut wire is soldered to a piece of foil, then this piece is glued to frisbee right under the end of the spring with a nail.
Magic called centrifugal force will press the spring to the foil and the LEDs will light up. It is advisable to fix all ugly dangling wires with hot glue.
