Surely many of you love fishing.
In this article, the author of the bearded MASTER YouTube channel will tell you how he made a universal stand for spinning and fishing rods.
Materials
- Old bike rack, or thick steel wire
- Spray paint
- Steel strip 1 mm thick
- Sandpaper.
Instruments, used by the author.
- Orbital sander

- Cutting, and petal stripping discs
- Vise, hammer.
Manufacturing process.
So, as the main source of material for homemade work, the author chose an old trunk from a bicycle.
He completely disassembled it, leveled the bar out of it, and removed the remains from welding with a cleaning disk.
He bent the longest bar in the center around the pipe.
The place of the bend was fixed in a vice, and bent the wire at an angle of about 10 degrees.
Then he made a half ring from wire.
I cut off uneven edges and got such a blank.
Welded it to the first part approximately 1/3 of its length. He cleaned the welds.
Another wire was already successfully bent, it only needed to be slightly trimmed.
And then bend its edges at an angle of 90 degrees.
Excess material is cut so that it is about 1.5-2.5 cm from the edge.
Now you need to make two small corners, for this two steel plates fit about 1 mm thick. The author of the steel strip was not found, and he cut them out of the trash.
On its edges, the master drilled holes equal to the diameter of the wire used.
Then, on the one hand, he made a cut.
Further, the workpieces are ground and bent at an angle of 90 degrees.
The author has welded corners to the top of the stand.
It remains to install the movable part in its place in the eyes.
So that it does not pop up, the edges can simply be scalded, or nuts made.
The loops that remain on the bottom of the stand must be cut and sharpened.
The whole structure is processed with sandpaper, and painted with aerosol paint.
So, everything is ready, it turned out a simple folding stand.
The stand simply sticks into the ground, and a fishing rod is fixed in it.
And in it you can fix not only the usual fishing rod, but also spinning. It is mounted vertically.
Thanks to the author for the simple but unusual idea of a simple fishing rod stand!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
