Today I will tell a very interesting idea: "How to make a backlight for a radio-controlled machine"
Materials:
10 cm LED strip (12 volt).
Terminal on the crown.
Small switch
Paper clips.
And of course the wires.
Instruments:
Pliers.
Soldering iron (with solder, etc.)
Lighter.
Crown.
Double-sided tape.
1. First of all, we take the LED strip and cut it in half (5 cm).
2. We clear the ends of the LED strip from the silicone and tin all the contacts
3. After this, solder the wires (red to +, black to -).
4. After that, we place the pieces of the LED strip along the edges of the cover from the power of the radio-controlled machine and measure the length of the wires to connect these pieces.

6. At the power point, solder the terminal wires from the crown.
7. The switch in the housing. Now the most dangerous thing: (observe safety precautions !!). Personally, I spread the iron sheet, put on gloves and glasses. We have to straighten the paper clip and bend it with the letter “P.” We take the pliers and clamp the paper clip.
We take out the lighter and hold the end (letters "p") above the flame until the moment when the paper clip begins to turn pink. After the clip has turned red-pink, you must abruptly remove the lighter and melt the case to set the switch. It is necessary to carefully melt the plastic so that the switch can exactly "sit down" to the size of the hole in the case. This work is long and dreary, but when you do it it will be very neat.
8. Well, that’s almost all, it remains only to solder the wires to the switch and glue the LED strip to the cover from the power of the machine.
9. Check if the LED strip is on (if not, check the accuracy of soldering and wire)
We attach the crown with double-sided tape in the inside of the machine.
I connected the crown (9 volts) because I have not found a 12 volt battery anywhere (apparently in our city there are none).
Well that's all, this backlight looks very cool and almost does not spend a lot of money and time.
