Sort of "women's gatherings" ...)))). Some photos are necessarily printed and put into albums (for which a separate cabinet is already needed))).
But this is only part ...))))
.. Like most "women-lovers", the wife hates some settings and "diffraction" ... That is, ONLY "SOAP BOX" !!!!! This is not discussed !!!
So, the basic requirements:

1. "Soap dish" !!! (main! Not discussed!))))
2. It is desirable unified batteries[b] [/ b], not "own" !!! That is, so that you can spontaneously take a camera and it does not turn out to be discharged! And for this, just sprinkle with me a bag of charged batteries !!! (We always have a large number of them at home. I follow this). In addition, during our “outings into nature with tents”, I also already had the process of charging from the battery “batteries” of any type)))).
3. The quality of the photo. (I immediately warn “advanced photographers”: The word “quality” doesn’t have the notion “aperture priority is not set accurately enough”, or “focusing can be done only manually, and a large depth of field is FU!” .... “Quality” - these are just beautiful photos, the absence of noise in low light and acceptable color rendition for a "photo for memory", but not for "works of art that make you think" ....

It is comparable with the old "SLRs" of the initial level, in which there are more matrices! It shoots well in low light ... Previously, at dusk without a flash, I didn’t even try ... And this one is very quite !!! And the "noise" works very correctly ... And the wide-angle at the level for such a lens !!! (And this is all - fully automatic !!!)
In general - the very thing FOR THE PURPOSES FOR HIM! ...
And the weight and dimensions are far from being "mirror" !!! When you look at it on the Internet, it seems very massive. And you hold it in your hand - easy and convenient .. (it is in the hand, and not in the hands. It is very convenient to hold one hand - the second is not needed!). Convenient rotary display - now when you shoot from the bottom up, you do not need to squat)))). In general, ergonomics - at the level !!! Compared with the Fuji superzoom - the Nikon is more ergonomic !!!
Of course - not a "pocket option", but this was not expected ...
Now you need to buy several capacious flash drives to it - the Full-HD video with 50 frames per second takes up such a lot of space)))))

But, the bottom one (where the pair) is completely unsuccessful. He is not sharp enough at all. I would just delete it at home. Photographers have a commandment - it is necessary to shoot SHARPLY, it can be made unsharply when printing.

But ... As for the "memory" - it is normal .... From this device another is not required ....

You won’t believe it, but I bought my first "soap dish-ultrasound" a very long time ago ... It was just Canon 110 that was just released then (about which Dmitry wrote) ... Then I drowned it and bought the 150th Canon which has gallantly survived to the present day ... Just because of the "mileage" of 100,000 + photos, the "fine mechanics" worn out in it and the photos are not always clear at large zooms .... (Auto focus sometimes stumbles). Moreover, the "insidiousness" is that on a 3-inch display this is not always immediately apparent ...

When a wife picks up a “SLR”, she infuriates her! ))))). And dimensions, and weight .. And most importantly - "slowdown" .... She needs to quickly and immediately! )))). And so as not to configure anything ...
So I stopped at this Nikon ... (Understand, everything suits me in it (for my purposes) - and small (relatively) dimensions and the "theoretical" quality of photos ...
Without hesitation I would buy
There is such a kuma. And we even took it to use ...
But ... BATTERY !!! .. I don’t understand why to supply such a "powerful weapon" with such a "weak store" .... There the battery is small, like a telephone ... And it only lasted a couple of hours to click with the display is always on! ... And you can charge it (Oh uzhssss !!!)))) only after removing it from the device and inserting it into the charger (for 220 volts). That is, in order for him to completely suit my needs, I will have to buy at least three or four more batteries and “swarm up” the charger from 12 volts !!! ...
Somehow I do not want to buy a new thing and immediately refine ....
So I looked for something similar ...
But I tried this one ... But I don’t know anything about “Nikon”, except for “theoretical characteristics” ... I’m not going to believe the reviews from “Otzovik” and “Ayrekomendet” - they write them on assignments for money ...

When I need to shoot something technically (with settings, etc.) I take the Instruction (technical description) and expose it as it should in this technique. But mostly filmed on Auto.
They correctly said here - in this case, shoot on a smartphone. And the ladies for the show-offs take DSLRs and shoot (click, and click and ...) on the auto. Previously, there were Yandex pictures, where one and others hung out ... and often exchanged stupid opinions. mosking
And the photographic equipment is now powerful, corrects all sorts of errors.

For me, in the camera, in addition to the acceptable (for my purposes) quality, the least possible thickness is decisive: so that you can put it in your pocket. The previous unit was a Pentax Optio A30. I have been using it since 2008, already defects appeared on the screen, but it works. I was not satisfied with the small zoom in it, so last year I bought the Canon SX620 HS: he has a x25 zoom - with his hands, without normal support at maximum zoom, you can shoot something only on a very sunny day. But is it not necessary to use all 25? )))
The remaining parameters are quite average, corresponding to the price category, the main thing for me is the thickness of 28 mm. The issue of power supply has been resolved in an oak fashion: by purchasing a second battery. Still, the fotik has one not obvious plus - it is impossible to accidentally turn on the flash by mistake: it mechanically extends outward, for which purpose it is necessary to purposefully press the corresponding mechanical switch.
It will not work for you because of the power supply, but as a "pocket" I was quite satisfied.

That is, choosing a camera of a smartphone, this parameter is more important - so that you can then stretch the photo and read the information: read the text, consider small details, etc. That is why, I think, this parameter is primarily sharpened when positioning a smartphone camera ... That is, it’s precisely the quality of the photos that smartphone manufacturers do not even focus on!
After all, if people want exactly the quality of the picture, then no one is looking at the pixels! After all, they look at the lens and the physical size of the matrix!
And what kind of lens is in the phone ??? For that matter, then she has a smartphone ... And the camera in it takes a photo comparable in quality to the ones that we once had long ago or

But time does not stand still ...And now we have learned to "extract" a picture of much better quality from a small matrix !!! And no smartphone can make a photo better than even the one brought by Dmitry as an example of an old Canon with a fairly good lens ...

Nikon B500 - a bad choice, Imho. Overall (like a la SLR) with retractable 40! object and small matrix. There will be no quality and it can break quickly.
