Jar loosening devices

Given device very useful in cases where the tin lid on the can is not unscrewed. To make such a tool, you will need very affordable materials that we usually throw away. Despite the simplicity of manufacture, this tool is in no way inferior in functionality to the analogous one made at the factory, and having made it do it yourselfYou will enjoy and save your money!

To make such a tool, we need:

  1. Five liter plastic bottle
  2. Piece of reiki

Homemade making

To begin with, we clamp the rail in a vise and saw off the excess part from it, leaving a 15-20 cm length in the vise.

Then, with a marker or pencil, mark the oblique line as shown in the photo below.

Next, armed with a hacksaw for metal, we cut obliquely the end of the rail, at the mark.

Then we process the sawn surface well, removing roughness.

Next, release the workpiece and turn it over the opposite side and again clamp in a vice.

Then again we make the markup in the form of a line, just like on the other side. The mark must be made a little further than the one that was on the other side.

Next, we make a cut with a hacksaw for metal to the mark to the middle of the rail, as shown in the photo below.

Then we cut off the ring from a five-liter bottle.

Fold it in half and cut off a little more than half with scissors.

Now you need an ice cream stick or something similar to it, the main thing is to be thin, about the thickness of the sheet of metal.

Fold the cut strip from the bottle, put the end to the slot and press it out, hammering a thin stick, as in the photo below.

Then, with a drill, two holes must be made to fix the plastic strip.

Well, to twist there two screws. Holes must be made necessarily, since if you tighten the screws without them, the rail can crack and all the work will be worthless.

Well, our tool for unscrewing the covers is ready.Using it is very simple, just put a plastic ring on the lid and unscrew the lid with a lever. The tool is very convenient and takes up little space in the kitchen, but at the same time it is incredibly effective.

As you noticed, the plastic strip must be installed so that the resulting ring could easily be put on the cover. That's all, thanks for watching! )))

It will bend the covers ...
I liked it well thought out, but I usually opened them by turning them sideways and with a sharp slap on the bottom, then unscrewed the lid.
True, with a hangover, it is not always immediately possible to open the tomato juice, the strength is not enough)))) so I'll probably do this myself now)))))
By the way, tomato paste is also sold in jars with such lids.

And here, for example, we never bought tomato paste .... Tomato sauces - yes. But the paste - no ...
... This is so ... a retreat ... I did not understand, by the way, why you focused on tomato paste. Now, it seems, EVERYTHING is being sold either under the “twist-offs” or in metal cans. Is not it so?
Well, that means that every housewife has a different approach ... We always use only new lids for cucumbers and tomatoes. A "used" just for jam and other "non-responsible" are used ...
And the last time we used kapron was when the banks were not “twist-off”, but “down” ... But we didn’t see any screw kapron on sale ... Yes, to be honest, I didn’t know about their existence ...
Apparently, your mistress does not close the jam ...))))

Closes. Let it be known to you, the jam is closed with nylon covers. And under such ones as in a homemade product, my wife, or rather, myself, closes pickled cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. Therefore, I know very well how they close and open. And if you open them as I wrote above, then you can use them several times. By the way, tomato paste is also sold in jars with such lids.

Absolutely right! It is very difficult to open the lid, because there is vacuum in the jar - the pressure is below atmospheric. It is enough just to pry off the lid with a spoon handle or a knife blade and equalize the pressure, and then the lid opens with two fingers. Is it really so hard to understand the author of this "homemade"?

Apparently, your mistress does not close the jam ...)))) But mine loves to do this ...))))
... I wrote this in an article about my similar construction ... Read ... There I explained why I had to make such a construction ...
I repeat here.
This is necessary ONLY for jams, jams and other things ... Everything else, like you, and Pokhmelyov quite rightly noticed, easily opens after the "air is launched" inside ...
But now, this number does not always go with jam ... The fact is that she pours it into the jar hot and thick. That is, it often happens that the jar is filled under the very lid (After pouring, a "hump" has spread)))). And in this case, the plastisol sealant is firmly glued to the rim of the can. Moreover, the jam also seals the lid inside and does not let in air with a weak bend. It is necessary to bend the lid very strongly with a knife, or with another “lever”, until the plastisol “falls off”! And after that, the lid is already to be thrown out!
.. In fairness, I’ll say that even my housewives can cope with such a jar of jam only together! smiles One holds a can with two hands, the other twists! ok ....
Well, there’s not enough female pen to grab and hold the jar !!! ))))
(This summer my daughter is getting married and will live separately ... Well, I have to do the same lever in order to keep the jar!))))) .. And this is more difficult - and the radii of the jars are different ...And the emphasis with the belt needs to be done wider - so that the glass is not pushed))))). Well, okay ... We will solve problems as they appear! ))). While there are two of them ... Cope))))) smile
But, anyway, this is better than constantly yanking me !! fool
And by the way, this device, from this article, such “powerful” covers are unlikely to turn away ... (Mine has a bigger lever and it is significantly stronger). And it will also bend the edge of the cover. (Most likely, it was made for the sake of the video on YouTube, and not for practical use) ... I set up my own for a very long time, changing the radius of the belt and precisely adjusting the curvature of the stop lever, until I achieved that the 82-mm cover stopped deforming even with very strong jerks.
P.S. I answer only to you and Pohmelev ... There is no desire to talk with the "cool kid" ...))) ... This is not a thankful job yes There youthful maximalism goes on and on ... Most likely - either the boy is green, or one of those who will never grow up and will be an eternal admirer of "unrealistically cool homemade products" .... dance3
How can I spoil the lid by opening it in the way I specified? For many years neither one animal one lid was not affected.
He is hindered by the realization of his own greatness and infallibility.

Hooray, finally. That's just your ME and was missing. It was still necessary to start with "We, Valery 1st, PeaceDoorBall of all Russia ...". And then something your Napoleon complex did not immediately manifest. If you once "designed and designed, then these were locks in the children's sandbox. And if you had at least something to procure, then the covers would have been used not only for your favorite size. But for you, it’s like higher mathematics Yes, and the conversation is about homework, and not about lines, although it’s useless to explain something to you. He’s cursing you on your infallibility. Okay, keep on praising yourself your beloved.

So you don’t even know that the covers have a lot of sizes? Then they would be silent and not dishonored, a connoisseur of homegrown.

I do not appeal to the author of this text !!!

That is why such a strange trend can be traced: if a person is very limited in knowledge (and, sometimes, in mental abilities), he immediately begins to try, in the SAME to convict others ... smiles
Now, pay attention, and in this case: all that a person knows about covers is that there are “a myriad of sizes” ...))))
He does not know that twist-off caps are mainly used in homemade blanks, only 82mm, because this is the most “standard size” - it is under them that “half-liter” (450ml), “liter” (900) and three-liter cans are made ...
He doesn’t know that only “home” covers need to be unscrewed by an appliance ... Because, firstly, automatic dispensers of the other lines do not pour over the edges, secondly, at home the product is put in boiling water and after cooling it is very vacuumized. In production, however, passerization, or sterilization of products, is mainly carried out after the bank has been closed ...
He agrees that you can open it with an "oil key" ... And at the same time, he says that "not a single housewife will let the lid spoil" ...)))) ...
That is, as we see, he never turned off the filter with a key ... Otherwise, he would have known ...
And finally, he does not understand that the “devices” are made just to save the lid ... (At least mine ...)
... And now, pay attention ... This person accuses me of the lack of the proper level of knowledge on the topic ...
xaxa
ME!! Which, by the nature of his activity, took part in the design of these very lines for food production ... Moreover, I took part in the design of the closure machines for twist-off caps ...
And here’s what’s strange ... If a person knows little, what exactly makes him jump into the topic and, excuse me, "pull"? ....
Is he really sure that someone else is dumber than him?
xaxa
And here you are, how sideways, Valera’s comment was addressed.
No self-respecting sensible housewife will let spoil the lid, which can be reused.
These covers open the handle of a spoon.
Quote: Oltaviro Oltaviro
If you remember your own “pearls”, then you need the pullers. You in all your comments advocate for them. And I personally do not even need them. Something with your memory ...

Rather, you have a memory pathology
Only Valery does not understand this.
any metal covers open with a flick of the wrist if pour boiling water on top. I always do it, but you need some pullers, eccentrics
Valery,
So you don’t even know that the covers have a lot of sizes? Then they would be silent and not dishonored, a connoisseur of homegrown.
I know ... Sits on a sofa and advises any garbage ... About keys for filters, for example ... smile And sometimes he also claims that he supposedly knows something .... And he also met such people ...
PSA I especially liked about the "myriad of sizes of covers" ....))))) .. Apparently, you are seriously going to open with some devices what you bought in the store? !!! ...
Then haha three times ... smile
Are you laughing Do this ... Yes, even for each of the myriad of sizes of covers? It is only to those who have nothing to do. And what does a cat do when he has nothing to do, you know.
Have you tried it yourself? Not in theory, but in practice .... Only honestly ???
P.S. Why I ask ... Because I also did, although there is a key ... And there is one moment, "where the dog rummaged ...." smiles In theory, as a rule, it is not noticeable ...
As Comrade used to say Sukhov - Better, of course, to suffer ...
Good afternoon !
No need to invent anything !!!!! Buy a puller to unscrew the oil filters for automobiles (there is a very large selection of them). It is better to take an adjustable for different diameters. And all will be bastard.

Well, we are not in a Russian language lesson, well, I didn’t notice a couple of mistakes, I’ll fix it ..
What kind of literacy did she write? "... a strip of a bottle ...", "... we make a drink according to the mark ...", "... we press it out there ..." they usually press out from there, and they press it in.

We advise you to read:
