Keg for an exotic plant

Good day to all. Today, Alexander, the author of the Alexander Polulyakh YouTube channel, will show us how he made such a barrel for an exotic plant.

Materials:
Mounting rail 50 mm to 20 mm.

Bolts and nuts.

Tin packing tape.

Board 25 mm to 150 mm.

Penoplex.

Tools that the wizard will need for this homemade.
Ruler
Marker
Drill
Drilling machine
A circular saw
Manual Electric Planer
Angle grinder
Circle petal
Felt circle
Linseed oil
Paint brush
Compass
Polyurethane foam
Grinding machine
Mallet
Gas-burner
Pliers
The keys
Electric jigsaw
Masking tape
Stationery tape
Styrofoam cutting machine or stationery knife
Welding machine
Electrodes
Roulette
Scissors for metal.

And first of all, the author prepared the mounting rails. The length of the rails is somewhere 650 mm. He made markings on them.

Then, at such an angle, he installed a metal corner, and grabbed it with welding. The result was a temporary guide.

Then he cut off the corners of all the blanks, and the author got sixteen of them.

After I processed these details with a planer.

Then laying them on a flat surface, temporarily fastened them with two strips of masking tape.

After gathered the blanks in a circle.

And fixing them in this position, clerical tape, measured the outer diameter of the barrel.

After that, I cut three pieces from the packing tape, slightly longer than the barrel diameter.

And at the edges made one hole.

After curved the edges at an angle of approximately 90 degrees.

These are the clamps.

By installing the clamps on the barrel.

I pulled them off with bolts and nuts.

And he set about making the bottom. To do this, he cut off two pieces from the board, about 250 mm long.

Then he applied foam on the side walls of the boards.

After connecting them.

And put under the press.

In the meantime, the boards were glued together, the author cut off the excess, thereby aligning the edges of the barrel.

When the foam has dried, the author processed the workpiece with a planer.

And cut out the bottom according to the size of the inner diameter of the barrel.

Having processed the edges of the future bottom on a grinding machine.

I applied foam to the end wall of the bottom.

And set it in place.

Under the clamps in the attachment points, he planted an additional piece of tape.

And he pulled the clamps with a key, The author bent the remaining edges of the clamps.

Then he burned the finished homemade burner.

Polished clamps.

And covered the product with linseed oil.

Such is not an intricate home-made, it turned out today by the author.

Now the master has prepared the drainage, for this the author finely chopped penoplex.

Laying it on the bottom of the barrel.

He fell asleep and planted a mango seed.

I hope in the future, the author will show us which mango tree he has grown.

And that’s all for me. Thank you all, good luck to everyone.
And see you soon!

Glue on the foam a little faster. But the foam does not like moisture and holds weaker. And about the plunge absolutely agree!
It can be glued on foam quickly, but PVA is probably better. And the bottom is usually cut into the body, more reliable ...
Glue on foam? What, PVA or, at worst, liquid nails are now in short supply?
