Making a homemade water filter from a plastic bottle

For the manufacture we need the following materials:
• plastic bottle;
• gauze;
• pre-ground charcoal.


First of all, having cut off the bottom of a plastic bottle, we will make a container for our future water filter.


We begin to lay the filter layers. The first layer will be the gauze layer.


The main filter element will be charcoal wrapped in gauze.


The filter is ready, proceed to the test.

Filtered water must be boiled and only then used for drinking and cooking.
