PCB-ruler or electronic engineer line is a multi-tool line in the form of a printed circuit board made of fiberglass, in addition to traditional measurement scales equipped with a large number of "utility". Due to the manufacturing technology of printed circuit boards for such devices, increased measurement accuracy is achieved (akin to GOSTovsky metal), as well as the durability and wear resistance of scratches and other signs (they are etched). This set includes three rulers - for 150, 200 and 250 millimeters, we will consider each of them in more detail.
The shortest line is equipped with two scales - metric (bottom) and inch (top), samples of conductors from 6 to 40 mil wide, footprints of SMD components, additional “cheat sheets” for transistors and diodes, as well as holes for determining the cross section of the wire (from 8 up to 28 AWG).
The medium-sized range is equipped with holes with diameters in mil and mm, samples of the width and distance between the tracks, a wide range of footprints of SMD components, a protractor, two scales - metric (top) and inch (bottom), the inch is additionally graded through mil.
The largest range of the set is also equipped with an extensive number of footprints, a “cheat sheet” for laying layers of multilayer printed circuit boards, two measuring scales (in millimeters and inches), samples of the width and gaps between the conductors and the same protractor, but with a convenient protector tags hole.
Note that zero for all rulers begins with a slight indentation from the edge (of the order of 2-3 mm), on the 200 and 250 mm rulers there is an “eye” for fastening.
Such a line is sure to come in handy for personal use, and is perfect as a gift to a person who is fond of electronics.
