We will need:
- plastic pharmacy bottle with any drops
8-10 centimeters of steel wire with a diameter of 0.8-1.0 mm
-stationery knife
- thin awl or thick needle
hot glue gun
On-door speakerphones have firmly entered our lives, and we sometimes do not imagine how we could do without them before. Therefore, a broken intercom key brings a lot of trouble. Most often, the plastic part of the key breaks (from age, careless handling, especially in children, etc.). In any way, I could not glue, weld, make a pad.
Since it was evening, I had to think about what to make a new key from. Fortunately, a pharmacy bottle with some drops turned up under my hands.
We ourselves did not need the drops, or rather, went for its intended purpose, but such a locking ring almost came up:
I had to very carefully remove the locking tabs inside
And earn an inner diameter for size electronic key (I will call it “tablet”). As a result, we get the body of the future key.
Cut the gasket out of electrical tape (you can probably without it, but let it be)
With effort we insert the "pill" into the body
Then we bend the handle out of the wire
In the body we pierce 4 holes under the handle
Insert the handle
Fix with hot glue
Press, let freeze
Remove excess glue
The new key, or rather the key for the intercom in the new building is ready
There is an earlier version made on the same principle.
Thus: labor costs about 30 minutes
In money, actually 0
A key repaired in this way has been used for several years and there are no signs of wear yet.
