In this article, Matthias, YouTube author of Matthias Wandel, intends to make a simple stand for his mini iPad. Only this time there will be two slots in the delivery: for the vertical position and the position at a slight angle in case the user moves the observation point.
An improvised backup is provided on the iPad case. It is able to hold the device at a certain angle to the plane, but at the same time it is quite unreliable in itself and cannot put the tablet in an upright position.

Manufacturing process.
The material for the stand will be a wooden beam 50X100 mm in size. Cuts a workpiece of the required length.
Matthias then passes the bar several times through the jointer, after which he takes on an even outline.
The wizard will cut through two grooves - one perpendicular to the plane, and the second at a slight angle.
In addition, on the front of the board he will have to cut something like a niche, a notch.
This should be done last. However, Matthias still cuts these oblique slits on a circular machine to avoid errors or inaccuracies. To do this, he sets the saw blade at an angle.
Then the author makes niches for the tablet screen. He saws them in several passes through the circular disk, each time moving the emphasis several times.
Now on the band saw he cuts the middle part of the stand.
Tries on the tablet and notes its width. Excess wood is cut.
The final stage is grinding processing on a belt grinder. Particularly carefully Matthias goes through all the faces and corners, giving them a slightly rounded shape.
The grooves for the device were intentionally made by the master a little wider, so that the tablet could be placed in them with an open cover. To give the product a more aesthetic appearance, its surface should be soaked in linseed oil, wax, or varnished.
When the device is in a perpendicular position, you can actively use its camera, and it is located behind.
