In the workshop, each item serves several purposes at once. This principle works to save technical means. So, for example, in this project, the author is going to use such a makeshift roller as a supply for supplying timber to a circular machine.

Manufacturing process.
The idea is undeniably good, however, the author immediately encounters some difficulty: the trolley and the circular table have different heights. So, the master decides to build a kind of roller stand, which would simultaneously level both surfaces and at the same time smoothly feed the material to the circular table. The roller stand is attached directly to the tabletop of the trolley with clamps.
When creating it, it is important to read two nuances. Firstly, its side racks should be cut so large that they are flush in height with the countertop of the circular machine or slightly lower, so that during operation the boards rest on the roller shaft itself.
The main body of the stand is made of scraps of plywood. It consists of a plywood stand and two racks made of the same material.
The author himself makes the roller out of a PVC pipe, which has 2 inches in diameter.
The reason why the author dwells on precisely such a diameter of the roller lies in the method of cutting the side discs, designed to close the sides of the roller. Namely, the master will use the saw tip “crown.”
The sides should provide support for the axis of the roller, made of steel studs. In each rack, a hole is drilled along the diameter of the rod. The rod itself is fixed in racks with nuts.
