The change of direction of rotation is carried out by a switch on the housing. So, in the extreme upper position of the switch, the mechanism rotates counterclockwise, in the lowermost position - clockwise, in the central position - it is fully fixed. Changing the position of the switch is carried out with a little pressure and effort, so that random displacements are eliminated. To fix the taps, the tool has a simple collet clamp with spring-loaded jaws, the surface of which is covered with an anti-slip notch.
