The simplest autowatering for indoor plants

Very soon, summer will come, and with it the holiday season. It often happens that your whole family leaves home for a long time, and there is no one to care for flowers at the same time. Not everyone can trust such things, for example, to neighbors or to anyone. To get out of this situation, I want to offer you a way auto watering indoor plants without any unnecessary effort and expense.

The bottom line is to create a kind of temporary pot where the flower will be transplanted. We will make it from an ordinary bottle lozenges. We choose the volume of the bottle so that it can easily be transferred to it with the whole earth. Consider the example of a 1 liter bottle (you can use any volume, even a 5 liter canister, the manufacturing principle is the same).

Cut the bottle in half with a clerical knife and align the roughness of the edges with scissors. We cut off the upper part with the lid to the amount necessary for the earth with a small supply.

We drill a small hole in the lid.

We take a cotton rope 15 cm long in this case (you can use any available at home or a piece of rag). Most importantly, a rope or cloth should absorb water well.

We insert the rope into the cork and wrap it back in the upper part of the bottle.

We twist the rope in the form of a circle for maximum contact with the ground, while leaving about 5 cm from the bottom.

Pour about two-thirds into the lower part of the water and insert the upper part. After that, we seal with tape or tape the junction of the two parts of the bottle so that the water does not evaporate.

You can safely transplant the flower into a temporary pot that we have. A weekly supply of moisture, he will be provided.

Will a synthetic string get wet? I doubt very much that it is also made of plastic bottles of polyethylene perephthalate. Natural material is needed, but it is already rotting.
What just do not come up! great idea for flowers if you have to go on vacation ..
