There are many different ways and methods of using ordinary plastic bottles for their intended purposes. I want to talk about one of them.
One summer, a friend and I went fishing on a lake. Everything was wonderful until at some point a friend dropped and drowned the scoop, with which we periodically poured water from the boat. The solution was found almost immediately. Instead of a scoop, we made a homemade mug from a plastic bottle.
To make it, we need a plastic bottle of any volume, an office knife and scissors (a tourist knife was used as a tool on the lake).
To begin with, we cut off the top of the bottle with the help of a stationery knife in the place where it begins to taper in the neck.
Next, cut a piece with scissors, moving away from the top of about 2 cm, a kind of circle, but not completely, while leaving somewhere around 2 cm for the future handle of our mug. From below we carry out the same operation, but at the same time moving away from the bottom about 10 cm for the future base of the glass. It should be something like this.
Next, turn the inside circle inside out, bend it down and put it on the bottom of the bottle.
Previously, you can walk along all the edges with scissors in order to remove all the bumps and burrs obtained when cutting, which can subsequently cut your hand. It’s probably not convenient to drink from such a mug (I haven’t tried it), but in the household, camping or fishing, in the absence of other such things, it can even come in handy.
The result should be a nice and quite comfortable mug. It takes very little time to make it. The method is very simple and accessible to everyone.
