To make a sofa we need:
- level;
- plywood;
- a simple pencil;
- construction tape measure;
- wooden beam;
- screws;
- drill;
- screwdriver;
- paint;
- chipboard sheet;
- foam rubber;
- scissors;
- the cloth;
- hinge strip.
The materials are collected, you can safely get to work. The very first thing we need to decide on the size of the future corner sofa. We take marks and write everything down on paper.
The next thing we have to do is mark on the wall. To do this, measure the distance of 45 cm from the floor and draw a horizontal line on the wall. It is important that the line is flat, so it is advisable to use a level gauge. Next, we take the bar, which should already be ready in advance, and fasten it on the wall to the line. We repeat the same procedure on the second wall.
The next thing we take is a narrow bar, which we need as an additional mount on the floor.
We measure out the necessary width, for example 16 centimeters, make marks on the floor, take also the previously prepared trims and put to the marks. We fix the bars.
We proceed to the next stage. We take a sheet of plywood, whose height should be equal to 45 cm, and put it on the bar, which we attached to the floor. You need to put the sheet parallel to the wall. Fasten plywood to the wall with screws.
Next, cut two pieces of plywood 40x45 cm and fasten them to the slats.
After that, we should get a box that needs to be painted with paint.
It remains to take care of the box lid. It should be noted that the lid should be wider than the box itself by about 2.5 - 3 cm. And the lid can be made from chipboard. It is necessary to finish the box lid with foam rubber and cloth.
To do this, you need to spread the fabric so that the inside is up, put foam on the fabric and fix it on the box lid with a stapler.Fasten the trim starting from the sides.
After that, you can attach the lid to the box with a hinged strip and screws and enjoy your own work.
