What we need to make a fan pipe:
- glue gun;
- a jar of chips;
- plastic bottle;
- stationery knife;
- vernier caliper;
- paper;
- scissors;
- balloon;
- drill or screwdriver;
- drill with a diameter of 9 mm;
- sealing ring.
Recall that in the past material there were no exact measurements and everything was done almost by eye, which is the hallmark between the past material and the data. Let's get started.
First of all, we need to measure the height of our banks.
Now we measure the resulting height from the neck of the bottle and make a mark.
We also note the diameter of the wide part of the bottle and the mark, and cut a paper pattern from this diameter.
We put the template at the bottom of the jar of chips and make marking with a marker.
Cut the resulting circle at the bottom of the jar with a clerical knife. It is important to do everything carefully and slowly.
Also cut off the top of the bottle.
We turn on the glue gun, because at this stage we need to glue the bottle into the hole on the jar. It is necessary to glue so that the neck of our bottle protrudes slightly from the other part of the can.
We are waiting for the glue to cool.
Now we take a drill or a screwdriver and put a drill on it and drill a hole in the middle on the side of the jar.
Next, we put the o-ring on the resulting hole. The ring itself, according to the author, is a decorative element, therefore, you can skip this step if you wish by making a hole of a smaller diameter.
Take a balloon, cut off its lower part and cut along the length.
Also cut out the middle part of the plastic lid from the jar.
We pull the ball on the top of the jar, that is, on the part where the neck of the bottle is located.
We fix the ball with a lid from the jar.
Our fan pipe is ready. Now you can take care of its decoration.
