The author made a stand for vertical gardening from very affordable materials. It is interesting that the plants are grown directly in the rack, which eliminates the hassle of seedlings, but you can take note for planting the finished sprouts in an installed rack.
To make a stand for vertical gardening you will need:
- a piece of pipe or fittings,
- natural fiber thread,
- plastic bottles of the same shape,
- knife and scissors,
- shoulder blade
- nutrient soil,
- water
- seeds of preferably ampelous plants,
- ax or hammer
Step 1.
On the pipe or fittings, you need to fix and wind the thread in such a way that water passes better from above to the very bottom of the structure.
Step 2
Plastic bottles need to cut the bottoms at the same height, one bottle must be left with the bottom - it will be top.
Step 3
For sowing seeds and plant growth, cuts in the form of the letter "P" are made in the lateral parts of the bottles, although you can also make them a corner - at the request of the master.
Step 4
Further, the design is assembled already at its place of placement. At a selected location, reinforcement or a pipe with a thread wound on it in advance is driven into the soil.
Step 5
Next, the first bottle is put on the reinforcement, into which nutrient soil is well packed. Then the next bottle is put on, which is also filled with soil, and so on until the last bottle.
During filling with soil, it is necessary to water each container with water so that the soil is well compacted and saturated with moisture.
After stuffing the rack with soil, you need to open each incision and put seeds in the soil. The stand will also serve as a greenhouse for their germination.
When the leaves begin to appear in a couple of weeks, you will need to help the sprouts break into the wild by bending a few notches in the bottles.
When the stand is covered with greenery, the moisture will not evaporate so much, but the roots of the plants will absorb it, so do not forget to water it well.
