Swing from a pallet
The ordinary wooden pallet that you have left after the repair work can be an excellent basis for a swing. You will need a strong tree with a horizontal branch, which is located quite high above the ground and a strong thick rope or cable. If there is no suitable tree, you will have to dig pillars in the area.
The palette must be cleaned from roughness and sticking out slivers, so that children do not get their hands or feet stuck, to make it smooth and pleasant to the touch.
The easiest swing option is to simply tie the rope along the sides of the pallet and securely tie it in the support.
If you want to make a cozy bench - a swing, connect the two pallets together, put pillows on the seat, and it is better to tie the pillows to the back of the swing with ties, for convenience.
Swing from an old skateboard
If you have an old shabby skate lying around, or even one board from it, this can serve as an excellent basis for a swing for cottages. The fact is that the skateboard board is very strong and wear-resistant, with apparent fragility it can withstand heavy loads. The main task is to securely fasten the board by threading ropes or a cable into it.
If the rollers are saved on the board, the task is simplified - just make loops from the ropes and pass them through the skateboard - the rollers will not allow the loops to slide off.
Color the old skateboard with bright colors and you will get reliable and exclusive swings that will please the kids for a long time!
