Do not rush to get rid of an unnecessary brake disc, it can still come in handy. For example, it will make an original wall clock! The main thing is to make them very simple, but they look pretty interesting.
We will need:
- motorcycle brake disc;
- old quartz wall clocks;
- ruler and superglue;
- two long bolts and nuts to them;
- towel, sponge, rust remover.
Step 1
If your disc is rusty, then apply detergent to the sponge and polish the rusty areas well. Then wipe the disc dry with a towel.
Step 2
Take the old wall clock, carefully disassemble it into its component parts. From them we need three arrows and a rear platform, where the main mechanism is located.
Step 3
Using a ruler, measure the disc of the motorcycle and mark the center. Focusing on the photo, glue the platform to the central part of the disk with glue (the gluing points are marked with white arrows). Next, outline the holes in which you insert the numbers.
Step 4
The author first attached the hour hand, then the minute and second.
Step 5
As you can see from the photo, the watch is attached to two large bolts that are inserted into the following holes: “17:00” hours and “19:00”.
Step 6
Insert the batteries, adjust the exact time on the clock.
Step 7
A watch from the old motorcycle brake disc is ready. Someone like ordinary quartz watches, and someone will prefer them such original "chimes" made do it yourself.
