It's just that “home-made” is a favorite pastime ... I really like to learn and do something ... Therefore, the scale of home-made is great ... For example, a two-story house that I built “just like that” ... Precisely, for the sake of pleasure all by myself, and not because of the need for housing .. (At that time I already had an apartment for the winter and a house in the city for the summer). But that house was bought, but I wanted to build it myself))))). In the literal sense, MOST !!!! That is, I did not even buy ready-made concrete for the foundation. From the principle: homemade means self-made))) ... And, naturally, I didn’t hire any masons, no roofers, no electricians, no plumbers ....
And in general, he made sure that on the construction site from the beginning of digging the pit (manually)))) until the finishing of the work, there WAS NOT ANYONE besides me !!! ... Six years there was something to do ....
Here I am "sick on the head")))))))
The furniture in this house, too, he did everything himself - both soft and cabinet ...
Needless to say, with such a scale of "hobby" I have overgrown with a huge amount of tool?))))
Once, when I was 25, I also used a drill with nozzles, two hammers and one emery ... And I could do a lot ... But I never claimed to be SO CONVENIENT ....

Personally, I have each type of instrument in one copy, but I do it for myself, as a hobby and do not rush anywhere - changing the equipment is not annoying.

But if this were my work and speed of production was important, then I would, according to your example, acquire several inexpensive instruments of the same type, sharpened by one action.

For precise holes, I have a stationary drilling machine.
This I listed my drilling tool .. And I do not drag it all with me "just in case" - I take the one that you need to use in this case ...
I am not saying that everyone should have such a tool kit. I just say that it’s more convenient.

If I work at home, in the workshop, basement, or garage, then I usually use 220 Volt screwdrivers - they are more powerful and lighter. And there is no "counterweight" -accumulator. I put a bat, I work ... If I need another, I put it in another shurik and put it next to it - I don’t like to change the equipment in the process ... Therefore, I have several pieces of “running” tools. I bought three “cord” screwdrivers at once. I have two batteries.
The same thing with the grinders - the 125s, the most popular, I have three. And when I work with metal, for example, it is much more convenient for me when there are grinders with a cutting, cleaning and emery-petal wheel each. It’s much more convenient to just put one and take the other than change circles! Do you disagree?
And already "not running" - the 115th, 180th, 230th - and enough for one at a time. There, as a rule, I set one circle, and you work for them.
Also, "this is my opinion")))), but I think it’s better to buy several cheap tools than one expensive one .. Makita and Bosch are needed for those who work professionally and, most importantly, if the tool walks from hand to hand hands.
