A boombox equipped in an ordinary shopping basket is a great accessory for any home party! You can make a boombox quickly enough (work will take 2-3 hours) and not so difficult. And most importantly - not at all expensive!
To work, you will need:
• 18 liter basket
• 2 speakers with wires
• Portable amplifier
• Li-ion battery
• Battery Charger
• Audio cord (mini)
• duct tape
• Insulating tape
• Screws, bolts, washers
• Textile tape fastener on a flypaper
• Braid or other material for making pens
• Drill
• Machine Saw
• Glue gun
Step 1. Preparing the basket to install the audio system
You need to remove the handle from the basket. Measure the width of the speakers: their front part should be located outside the basket, and all other elements inside.
Fix the speakers on the outer surface of the basket with adhesive tape and draw a circle along the contour.
Step 2. Cutting openings for speakers (speakers)
According to the previously prepared contour, holes are cut out in the basket for the subsequent installation of speakers.
Step 3. Installing speakers
Loudspeakers are placed according to the holes made and four points are marked with a marker: it is at these points that the mounts will be. Holes are drilled with a drill.
Step 4. Installing the amplifier
The amplifier is mounted on the outer wall of the basket. The hole for it is cut in advance: before this, markings should be made on the wall of the basket.
Step 5: Battery Installation
The battery is installed on the outer wall, and a convenient Velcro fastener allows you to securely fix it. The soft side of the clasp is mounted on the back of the battery, and is fixed on the basket, just below the amplifier.
Step 6: wire connection
Complete with many speakers are already wires to connect. If not, you can purchase separately. Speakers should be connected to the amplifier: the wiring will be located inside the basket.And the wires are fixed on the wall of the basket with electrical tape. The battery should be connected directly to the amplifier.
Step 7. Placing the audio device
With the help of electrical tape and adhesive tape, a “pocket” is made on the free external wall of the basket, where the device for playing audio is placed. Then the device is connected to the amplifier. Such a device may be a telephone, portable player, tablet, and so on.
