An example of creating an electric smokehouse based on the Kharkov M oven.
The author has long wanted to assemble a smoking machine. For this, he had all the necessary materials, therefore, as soon as free time was found, he set about assembling.
Materials and tools:
- several pipes of various sizes
-nuts
-electric oven "Kharkov M"
-multiple metal plates
grills
-welding machine
-a circular saw
Description of creating a smokehouse with a smoke generator:
Step one: modernization of the oven under the smokehouse.
IN the garage For a long time there was an unnecessary old Kharkov M electric oven, which is great for the smokehouse housing. For more convenient subsequent use, the design of the oven was modernized so that it could be disassembled, as well as a thermostat was added to it.
The installation of a temperature controller will make it possible to observe the desired temperature level during hot smoking.
Step Two: Create Shelves.
As internal shelves for the smokehouse, the author decided to use a grid from a brazier. Cutting it into two parts, it just fit the parameters of the smokehouse.
Having secured the cut mesh from the barbecue inside the oven, the author received two tiers of shelves for his smokehouse.
Step Three: Creating a Smoke Generator
Further, the author proceeded to create a smoke generator for the smokehouse. There are a lot of options for creating smoke generators, all of them are selected for specific needs and the choice of scheme mainly depends on the available parts.
Therefore, it was preferable to build a fairly simple model smoke generator, consisting of a pipe with welded nuts under 1 \ 2 and m16.
1 \ 2 is used to remove smoke, and in M16 a thin tube is attached, through which air should flow from the compressor. An unnecessary aquarium compressor available from the author was used as a compressor for a smoke generator.
For smoke to enter the oven, several slots were made on the 1/2 pipe, it is through these slots that the smoke will be sucked into the smokehouse.
The whole idea is quite simple and its implementation should not be difficult, but for clarity, you can see the photographs presented, which show how this scheme was implemented by the author.
In addition, covers were made to the bottom and top of the smoke generator.
Fourth step: connecting the smoke generator to the smokehouse and testing the operation.
Further, for smoking, the resulting generator is docked with the smokehouse from the oven and after that you can proceed to the smoking process itself. It took the author only a couple of days to fully create this smokehouse, not taking into account the time for painting.
Below is a video in which you can find out more information on creating this smokehouse.
