Balsa gun - rubber arrow

Good day to all. Today I would like to show you how to make a wooden rubber-gun pistol using only a clerical knife and sandpaper.

Let's get started! For those who do not know: balsa is the lightest tree in the world. But along with this, it is very soft (it can be cut with an ordinary knife.) Let's get started! We will make the whole gun from one sheet of 3 mm balsa. (It is sold in any aircraft model store.)
To start, we print the drawings.

And start cutting!
The sides should be very carefully treated with sandpaper and all holes should be screwed (you can use a screw)
Then glue a small piece of balsa (for which, you will find out at the end)


The trunk of our future rubber barrel is cut out of double balsa (we glue two pieces of balsa together)


At the end we make a small cut.

Now we make the handle (also from double balsa)

Now it's the turn of the trigger (double balsa)

And polished with sandpaper

Then we take a spring from a ballpoint pen and glue it. Also, I stuck a small piece of pine on the tip (you can replace it with paper soaked in superglue). This is necessary so that the tip does not erase.

Now we cut the shutter (one layer of balsa), then glue several stiffeners.

That's it! All details are cut out, now it remains only to arrange everything in its place.



Insert a small wire (axis) into the hole in the trigger


Now we put the lid on top, and fasten it to several screws (in case of any breakdown, it will be possible to easily replace the broken part).
