Our hero will make a smokehouse from a metal barrel with a volume of 200 liters.
The author has a barrel with a bottom and a closed top.
As a pallet, he will use a metal fireplace for a fire. (But you can do without it, for this you just do not need to cut the bottom of the barrel and it will serve as a pallet.)
The author will lay out a place for lighting a stone.
And he will begin to cut the bottom, leaving a bezel for the strength of the future smokehouse.
The author will clip the upper part by stepping back from the edge of about 3 cm.
Thus, the cut off top will serve as a lid at the time of smoking.
Then he will take the studs at 12 and, having measured the required size, he will cut four pieces.
And for them, they’ll make two holes in the barrel and two on the opposite side.
And also a little higher, he will make two more holes, also opposite each other.
In the center of the cut bottom, the author will also make holes and insert a 12 bolt into it and fix it with a nut, this will be a tray for collecting fat during smoking.
From the bottom of the barrel, he made markings under the door.
In order to be able to install a tray for collecting fat. The author will make four holes just above the door at approximately the same distance from each other and at the same level.
Having cut out the door according to the marking, he screwed a small door canopy.
In the holes above the door, the author inserted bolts and screwed nuts on them, and a grease tray will be placed on these bolts.
The bolt in the center of the pallet serves as a handle, for it the author takes out the pallet and puts it back.
Further, the author installed the studs in the pre-made holes. On them he will hang food with the help of hooks.
Here, the author will establish sawdust.
And on a laid stone to make fire.
Thanks to all. See you again.
