I made such a fireplace from an old coffee table of an ordinary shape: a countertop, a middle shelf and two side panels. I didn’t take the photo, because inspiration was ahead of me and I already managed to partially paste it over with bricks.
Materials and tools:
1. Polyfoam packaging
2. Two pieces of plywood for false
3. Coffee table
4. Drill
5. Stationery knife or
6. Homemade foam machine
7. PVA glue
8. Magnetic latches
9. Roasting foil
10. Christmas tree garland with red LEDs
11. Stapler
12. Sandpaper

For the manufacture of bricks I used homemade device for cutting foam, because the clerical knife crumbled the edge. He polished the edges with sandpaper, where required. Fixture from power transformer, metal clamps from curtain rods, weights for tensioning a nichrome spiral.
Since bricks are of the same size, I set it to the width of the brick. I ended up with packing lists with a corner, which reduced the amount of work and was ideal for corners.
I sawed out the plywood sheets to the size of the lower shelf, as I planned to put video equipment there. I glued bricks to PVA and installed magnetic latches for access.

The upper left part of the fireplace was also pasted onto a plywood sheet, having previously drilled holes in it, since a subwoofer was placed behind this sheet, and attached a foil to the right wall. It turned out not removable to provide rigidity. Access is through the rear open part, invisible to the viewer. On the back and right wall from the inside of the hearth, he also fixed an ordinary baking foil with a furniture stapler, wrinkling it slightly for glare from the garland.
He laid birch chocks in the hearth, wrapped them in a Chinese garland with red LEDs. A regulator with a power cord brought out through the back wall.
I did it before the New Year, so I placed a Christmas tree on it, which I installed in a birch chock wrapped in a garland with white LEDs. All cables are routed through the back wall. In the future, I will use the fireplace as a TV stand as part of the media center.
In the evening, when the upper lighting is off, a complete illusion of a living fire is created, especially when the correct flicker program is selected. The fireplace can be put in any convenient place.
