After some deliberation, I decided to make a model of my house on a 1:20 scale. For the main wall material I took plywood and plexiglass for stained glass. The most painstaking work is of course the roof. On the "tile" went bamboo strips, which I cut into 22.5 mm and glued with an overlap of 17.5 mm. having previously removed bevels. Of course, all this by hand, it turned out not perfect (chamfers), but in appearance it is very decent. In total, it took me about 4,500 pieces. Roof accessories - Finnish roofing material. I couldn’t cut strips of the same width (16 mm.) In several workshops, I had to finish it manually. Gutters and ridge details bent himself, making a simple device. Pieces of sheet metal and wire went to the snow retainers. With external lighting turned out a small incident). During manufacture, naturally during non-working night time, I went outside and counted the bulbs. And I made them from diode bulbs powered by finger batteries. Counted - done. Nine pieces, one extra left. A few days later my spouse asks me to change one burned out light bulb). In general, a cat's house differs from the original by one light bulb. And another important point - the entire roof is removed for ease of cleaning.
