Greetings to all anglers masters. Today we’ll make a stand for the rod, but not an ordinary stag or rod under, but a special one for fishing from a steep bank.
With this method of fishing, the rods are located down the cliff, and the reel abuts against the ground.
In order to raise the coil above the ground and to avoid unnecessary pollution, this stand is necessary. Also, it will allow you not to lose tackle when biting a large fish, which simply can pull the fishing rod off a cliff if you are distracted.
Tools needed.
1. Drill.
2. Angle grinder.
3. The hammer.
4. Drills.
5. Sandpaper.
Materials required.
1. Metal or aluminum tube with a diameter of 15 - 20 mm.
2. Aluminum corner with shelves 20 - 25 mm.
3. Aluminum rivets.
4. A bolt with a nut - a lamb.
5. Polypropylene clips for pipes with a diameter of 25 mm.
6. Sheet aluminum 1 mm thick.
We take the tube and cut off from it a segment of about 40 cm. A metal pipe is preferable, since an aluminum pipe can be bent clogging into hard ground. We used a pipe from the old Soviet cornice.
From one edge of the pipe we make a cut and rivet, we cut the other edge at an angle. the output should be such a detail.
Now it's around the corner. We cut off about 20 cm from it. We were lucky, we found a corner right away with a pair of suitable holes.
Next, you need to connect the corner and the tube. Of course it’s easier to do it like this.
But we will make it a little more complicated but much more reliable. Attach the corner like this.
For this, we cut out two blanks from sheet aluminum and bend them at 45 degrees. We were lucky again with holes, two less to drill.
We drill holes and fasten the parts together on four rivets.
Now we drill another hole for the existing bolt, round off all the corners and fasten the tube to the corner.
To fix the rod on the rack, we attach two polypropylene clips to the corner on the bolts. To avoid rotation, in the shelves of the corner we make small indentations, clearly in the size of the heel of the clip.
Clips need to be slightly grinded from the inside with sandpaper, fitting under the butt of your rod.It also makes sense to look for clips with a fastener, this will allow you to more reliably fix the tackle on the stand.
When fishing, stick a stand at the edge of the cliff, set the required angle, tighten the nut and fix the rod in the clips.
If you need to leave the tackle, additionally fix the rod with clasps on the clips.
Here is such a simple but practical stand. Tested on fishing, copes with its task perfectly.
No tail or scales for everyone, we will meet on fishing.
