Car care is one of the pressing issues for all vehicle owners. Constantly maintaining the interior, body and other units clean is not easy. This will confirm any motorist. We offer some practical and very simple secrets that, without much effort, will help keep the car in a tidy condition.
Secret 1. Universal nozzle for a vacuum cleaner
Car enthusiasts know how annoying dust, particles of dirt and dust accumulate in hard-to-reach areas of the cabin. Normal vacuuming most often does not help, because it is usually equipped with one standard nozzle. It is almost impossible to thoroughly clean all corners of the car interior with it. You can buy a set of extra brushes or use the services of a professional car wash, but what is the extra cost?
A universal way to get to the most “problem” places in the cabin and dashboard is to use a regular cardboard sleeve from paper towels or toilet paper.
We insert one end into the socket of the vacuum cleaner, and give the second end the form that is necessary for penetration into contaminated areas of the cabin or dusty holes on the “tidy”. It turns out an excellent temporary nozzle.
So that the sleeve does not move, you can wrap it a couple of times - at the junction with the vacuum cleaner tube - with tape or tape. Enough of such a cardboard "assistant" for one or two cleaning.
Secret 2. We use an aerosol for plastic correctly
Plastic parts on the dashboard require special care. Experts recommend regularly treating them with special polishes. The most popular formulations among motorists are aerosol formulations. However, not everyone knows how to use them correctly.
Typically, such polishes are simply applied to a rag or sponge, and then they rub on the dashboard. Meanwhile, a much greater effect can be achieved by directly spraying the polish onto the panel from a certain distance - for example, from the back row of seats. In this case, the specialized composition in a uniform layer will cover all plastic surfaces, including hard-to-reach spots.
After spraying, it is necessary to leave the vehicle interior, close the doors and wait a little while the aerosol settles.

Secret 3. Quick and thorough disk cleaning
Wheels (or caps) collect a lot of dirt, and are cleaned with difficulty. Even in a car wash, they often cannot rinse them well. An ordinary brush and an autonomous screwdriver can come to the rescue in this case.
We cut the brush handle about 2/3 and insert its shortened version into the screwdriver. We apply a contact shampoo to the disk or cap, then wet our impromptu instrument, bring it to the contaminated surface and turn it on.
Even the most inaccessible places will now not remain uncultivated. The bristles of the brush perfectly cope with this task. It is only important to choose the right angle and pressure. It all depends on the power of the screwdriver motor. If it is small, do not press hard. For cleaning, just a light touch is enough.
Such a nozzle can last quite a long time and is useful not only for cleaning disks, but also for other household tasks.
Secret 4. Turn off the rusted nuts
Clean interior and exterior of the car is good and right. But with units under the hood, the situation is different. Whether we like it or not, they will be covered with a layer of dirt, dust, rust and oil deposits. Also add the high temperature that accompanies the engine. As a result, many nuts or bolts “stick”. It is good if a universal rust grease is at hand. And if she is not? Two cap keys can solve the problem.
First, we fix the cap part of the first key on the nut or bolt that needs to be unscrewed. Then we take the second key and we pass its cap part through the lower sponge of the first. The result is an elongated lever that increases the force of pressing. Such adaptation quite capable of dealing with “sour” and rusted nuts. When pressed, hold the connection point with your hand (lower grip).
The method is really effective and simple, so it is worth remembering.
Secret 5. We eliminate a problem of creaking window sealants
Many car owners (especially the "elderly") are faced with the problem of window seals. When lowering or raising the glass, a creak or squeak is heard, and in the process, the effort has to be applied as if something is jamming. Do not rush to disassemble the door, remove all rubber bands and get the power window mechanism. Very often, dried rubber seals are to blame for this problem, in the grooves of which the glass “walks”.
If there is no liquid silicone grease, and it’s far to the car shop, you can go to the nearest pharmacy and buy silicone hand cream. It is inexpensive, and the properties are the same as those of the lubricant. In the pharmacy, you can buy a syringe, from which it is more convenient to apply it (as a similar container for cream, you can also use an empty bottle from under the nasal spray or just a case from a regular pen).
We lower the glass and apply a little cream in several places from the syringe onto the working surface of the sealant. Then several times raise and lower the glass. If the problem is in the gum, the creak will disappear.
This is a simple, affordable and reliable way to deal with dry seals.
