In this article, Igor, the author of the YouTube channel Igor Beletsky, will tell you how he made a heat pump using a water pump.

The topic of water pumps operating without electricity has become very popular on the Internet.

Manufacturing process.
Igor assembled a very simple, but working design. If desired, almost any master can increase it in size.



Igor already had a similar design, only in the form of a simple steam engine. The main part of the engine is a copper tube filled with water, and its edges are lowered into the water.

In order to make a water pump out of such an engine, it is necessary to install a valve on the edges of the tube. One valve to the inlet, the second to the exhaust.



On any metal tube, a valve for water intake is installed on one side. On the other - to the exit.
In such a system, water can only move in one direction.


He lowers the edges of the tube into a container of water and pumps the tube, filling it with water.

Now Igor heats the tube with a gas burner in the middle. Water boils, turns into steam and displaces water through the exhaust valve, the intake valve, of course, closes.



At that moment, when the steam reaches the place where the tube is cooled by water from the outside, it will condense, the exhaust valve will close, and a new portion of water will come through the inlet. Further cycles will be repeated. The stronger the heating, the more often the pulses will occur.




In some ways, this method of pumping water resembles a hydraulic ram. In this model, Igor used a piece of copper pipe. To increase the volume of the steam generator, the tube can be rolled several times.



And if you use an even more powerful source of heat, then the pulses will be even more frequent. Accordingly, the volume of pumped water will be greater.


In the first model, Igor used an ordinary check valve for aquarium pumps. But they could not withstand powerful hydroblows.

As a result, the author made flap valves on his own.


And here is a more powerful version of this pump. During its construction, it is advisable to install a plumbing valve.



As a heat source, you can use the solar collector.



With the help of such a pump, it is quite possible to raise water by several tens of meters. The stronger the heating of the working area, the higher the vapor pressure, and the higher you can raise water.


It would be very interesting to use this method in the heating system of a private house, because such a pump will not only pump water, but also heat it.
