First, a little from Wikipedia: “Saturn-5 (Eng. Saturn V) is an American super-heavy launch vehicle. It was used to implement a manned landing on the Moon and prepare for it under the Apollon program, as well as, in a two-stage version, to launch on the near-Earth the orbit of the Skylab orbital station. "
The master decided to make a table lamp -model rockets.
Tools and materials:
-Wood;
-Warm white SMD LED;
-Acrylic paint (white, black, silver);
-Colorless varnish;
-Vata;
- Adhesive paper for printing;
- Down-converter DC-DC;
-Switch;
-Connector;
-Wire;
-Glue gun;
-Soldering iron;
-3D printer;
-A printer;
-Sandpaper;
Step One: Assembly Steps and Parts Manufacturing
In this photo you can see a sketch of a rocket.
The main details of the rocket master did not print on a 3D printer. Files for printing can be downloaded.
After manufacturing, the parts were cleaned and sanded.
At the bottom of the step, the author glued a wooden cylinder and drilled a hole in it.
For painting, the master used white acrylic paint. Some parts are painted with silver paint. According to the original, inscriptions and drawings were pasted on the rocket. From above everything was opened with colorless varnish.
Step Two: Exhaust Flame
The exhaust simulation consists of two parts: directly below the first stage and below it. To exhaust the lower stage, the master made five backlight modules. The basis was a tube from a felt-tip pen. Inside the tubes, the master installed two parallel-connected LEDs. Inside the tube were filled with hot melt adhesive. Then these tubes are glued to the exhaust of the lower stage.
Step Three: Stand
The rocket itself, with the help of a metal rod, and LEDs will be fixed on the rack. The stand is made of a wooden cylinder 300x400 mm. Over the entire surface of the rack 20 LEDs are fixed. For greater realism, it is necessary to place more LEDs at the top of the rack than at the bottom.
Step Four: Prop
The support is made of three wooden squares 20 mm thick. A niche for electronics installation is carved in the middle board.Installation of electronics master made according to the scheme. A hole for the wire has been drilled at the top.
Step Five: Smoke
To simulate exhaust smoke, the master glued the rack with cotton.
The Saturn V lamp is ready and can be used in Hollywood filming about the landing of American astronauts on the moon.
