This video details the process of gluing 2 mm PVC. edges in home conditions. This video will be useful for both professionals and beginners who are just starting to learn production of furniture at home.
To complete this work, we need:
• a small brush;
• stationery knife;
• PVC edge 2mm;
• solid roller;
• acetone;
• glue - "88 luxury" or "Moment";
• building hair dryer.
Apply glue to the edge and let it dry for 15 minutes. Then we put glue on the surface of the chipboard, but it will only dry for three minutes.
Then you need to combine chipboard and edge and press firmly with a roller. To relieve tension from the edge, you need to heat it a little with a hairdryer and press it again with a roller, until it completely sticks tightly.
The glued edge dries out within 3-4 hours, after which it is possible to continue processing the edge.
The final step will be the removal of excess (protruding) parts of the edge. To do this, re-heat the edge with a hairdryer and use a knife to remove the remaining edges.
Small glue residues can be removed with a cloth dampened with acetone.
The edge is glued. In quality, this edge (glued in this way) is no worse than the one that is glued in the factory.
Good luck!
