I have seen enough, my friends, of all sorts of models on the Internet and again decided to experiment a little.
I decided to combine the incompatible. I looked at a lot of all kinds of material about Vzhik LC and about Rutan’s airplanes and about the “duck” airplanes before making sketches.
Models decided to give a name .- "Drake" - Drake.
First I decided to conduct several experiments with construction foam, before making the fuselage out of it.
For the experiment I took plastic bottles, picked up a diameter suitable for the diameter of the fuselage, taking into account the subsequent processing.
He made openings in the bottles with a clove to let out excess air and excess foam during expansion, and filled them with foam.
When the foam hardened, cut off the plastic, and glued the resulting blanks with bottoms. For engine hoods, I wanted to use jars of sour cream, in which we need to make slots so that the motors cool.
The middle of the fuselage had to be built up and sheathed with a ceiling.
When installing the wing consoles, the ceiling glued butt.
All wing assembly operations are similar to assembling LC “Whack”, only the sizes are different.
Control surfaces and winglets are made from the ceiling in two layers.
I make wheels for the chassis from two layers of ceilings, and with underframes from aluminum beer cans, between which I clamp pieces of foam rubber, 30 mm thick. I make a wheel axis from a plastic straw from Chip's candy - Chups. I do racks for the chassis from an aluminum corner.
It turns out here is such a wing.
I hang the Elevons on a double-sided tape, which is clamped between two layers of the ceiling when installing the wing and gluing the Elevons.
The fuselage turned out to be more work than I expected. Cut off the extra length. I tried on the ceiling in place and glued
He fixed all the flaws with construction foam, cleaned and puttyed.
Finished wings are covered with colored tape.
Winglets are screwed to wooden slats glued at the ends of the wing with self-tapping screws.
The wing is mounted at the bottom of the fuselage.
I do the PGO, the whole process is the same as when creating the wing itself, only the scale is different.
He made Lozheorny from a ceiling and a wooden ruler with a section of 4 x 4 mm.
I mount the chassis.I mounted the PGO, installed the servos, I stretch the thrust to the hogs through the bowden.
I already spoke about the materials used.
Clay used - "Titan".
Motor-L2210 1400 210W.
Screw -7x6.
I checked the operation of the servos, thrust bent in the bowden, moved them to the wing, shortened the thrust.
Span - 1540 mm.
Length -720 mm.
Here is a video of the first flight attempt.
Dear friends, at the same time, I want to show another very interesting model LC, the basis of the construction of which are taken here are these drawings of the cord model.
The engine set electric - L2210 1400 210 W,
Screw - 8 x 6.
The regulator is 30A.
Servos - NHT900.
The battery is 1300 3S.
Length - 550 mm.
Span - 950 mm.
Height - 380 mm.
I used the same materials, I just added wooden slats and a simple foam plinth.
Wing cut out, looking at the drawing. I missed a wooden rail along the entire length.
The wing is the same as the previous model.
Profile wing.
Set keels - winglets.
Inside the fuselage missed the wire without braid. One end was fixed in the fuselage, and the fishing swivel was attached to the other.
A cord will be attached to the swivel.
Inside the fuselage, the wire is fixed in the CT model.
The model is in the starting position.
This is how the chassis is made.
At the site, behind the house, an iron corner of 40x40 mm was driven in, left 1.5 m above the ground. I used a carbine to fasten the cord.
Motor mounted rotary device. It turned out vertical shock wave.
The model is ready to fly. After the first flights, the whole village knew about this model.
Backlight for flying at night.
Unfortunately, the flight video could not be made.
After another evening flight, he left the model on the site and at night it burned down, along with the set fire to the grass.
It was a time of fires in the suburbs of 2010.
