Hello the inhabitants of our site!
This time I decided to talk about model built by the author, based on the Sh-2 amphibian aircraft, created by little-known in wide circles, designer Shavrov Vadim Borisovich.
In the early 1930s, the very appearance of an amphibious aircraft in our aviation was a unique event. This aircraft worked well, and serial production was launched at the Taganrog Aviation Plant.
It was possible to unearth any drawings, but the author of the model simply made parts templates from this photo.
Main materials
Laminate underlay - 5 mm
Glue - Uhu-Por
Wooden student rulers
Plywood - 3 mm
Color adhesive tape
I can’t say anything exactly about the size of the model, the author only indicated the fuselage length - 750 mm.
By the way, and about the used electronics the author also does not say anything in his article, however, the model turned out to be worthy of its prototype.
The author began the construction with the manufacture of a stabilizer and keel, which are made of two layers of the substrate, as well as the side walls of the fuselage.
The author hung the rudder and elevator using pieces of film for lamination.
To connect the parts of the elevator, a bracket made of wire, possibly clerical paper clips, is used, which is clamped into a ferrule holder.
Began to make the fuselage.
In the middle of the fuselage, a partition is glued at the redan’s location.
The fuselage at the rear is reinforced with a wooden ruler.
Inside the small, lower wing, a frame made of a wooden battens with a cross section of 4 X 4 mm is glued. The result was a profile.
A slot is made for the small wing in the fuselage.
Mounted tail and small wing.
The nose of the fuselage is enhanced by strips of the substrate, the electronics will be located at this place.
The fuselage is glued in the rear.
Made cabin and windshield, which is cut from a plastic bottle.
From wooden rulers and battens, reinforcement is made for the installation of the upper wing and motor.
Mounted mount from plywood, a wooden ruler and two pieces of rail.
The wing is made without a V corner.
Span - 1000 mm.
Width - 180 mm.
Spars are made of wooden battens, ribs are cut from the substrate.
Wing profile selected conditionally, similar to Clark-Y
After gluing the wing, the ailerons are cut out.
The model is painted with white paint.
Steering surfaces are hung on tape.
The wing and fuselage are locally covered with colored tape.
The motor and electronics are installed.
Servos, boars, tie rods are mounted.
Floats are glued at the ends of the wing.
The lower part of the fuselage is covered with a film.
Photos of the finished model.
Here the author demonstrates the construction of such a model. The model turned out and it needs to be taught to fly!
