Nowadays, such activity as bow-phishing is gaining more and more popularity. Literally, this term stands for bow - bow and fishing - fishing. That is, it is fishing by hunting it from land. The main weapon here is a bow or crossbow with arrows. The arrow can be tied on a fishing line, this will allow you to pull the fish out of the water without diving into the water.
Arrows can also be like in an ordinary bow, this approach is usually used in shallow water, where the fish hides under the roots, vegetation and other shelters.
From myself I will say that this type of activity is quite interesting. As a child, I had an air rifle, I shot from it at crucians that swam in our ditch, going after the dam. Step one. We make the main part
Getting to the manufacture of the onion frame, it is a quadrangle. To assemble it, you will need two corners and two tees. Well, then everything is simple, we assemble the design. For assembly, the author uses a gun with hot glue. This is very convenient, since you do not have to wait long for the glue to dry, especially when using epoxy adhesives. Apply glue to the end of the pipe and quickly install it in its place.
Step Two Nose assembly
The front of the device in some ways resembles a horn. These horns are assembled very simply, we use corner joints for, as well as hot glue. If desired, you can form any shape. The pipes should fit tightly into the connecting parts, otherwise water will get inside, and this is bad, since the weight of the onion will increase.
As for the end of the pipes, they will definitely need to be plugged. For these purposes we use special caps for pipes.
Step Three Set the gum and bowstring
The main power element of the bow is the gum, that is, in fact, this device is a rubber arrow. The onion power is quite enough for successful fishing. In total, the author used two pieces of elastic, they fold in two and are attached using ordinary plastic clamps. Clamps are much better than threads, since they do not cut gum.
Now a few words about the bowstring, for this you will need a strong rope. Tie massive knots at its ends, with them the bowstring will be attached to the elastic. For these purposes, again, we use plastic clamps, two pieces at each end.
Step Four Testing
The onion is ready! But for him you still need to make arrows, but there should be no problems with this. The question is what to install at the end of the boom? For these purposes, you can use large fishing hooks. Unfold them and install, preferably a few pieces. Now, if an arrow yells into a fish, it will never fall out.
Let's go hunting! To do this, you need to choose a good place, it can be a river or a lake, no difference. Near the coastline you can find a lot of fish, it can be in the snag, in the thickets of water lilies and so on. In such places likes to be perch, pike, chub and so on. In the lakes you can quite hunt for nettle, crucian carp, rudd, this fish is not particularly shy. It’s quite possible to hunt successfully at night using a headlamp.
The optimal depth should not be higher than the chest, otherwise the fish will be poorly visible, and shooting is not very convenient. Do not forget to bring a cook or other device for storing fish. Have a good hunting!
