Materials and tools for manufacturing
● Plastic bottle;
● Three bottle caps;
● Cocktail tube;
● Kapron thread;
● wire;
● Scotch tape;
● Paper;
● Scissors;
● Awl.
Manufacture
Cut two rectangular holes at the top of the bottle. Their size should be 1 by 5 cm.
Make holes in the center of the plastic plugs with an awl.
Tie a piece of thread, 15 cm long, to each end of the straw. Attach two plastic plugs to the threads. Cut a triangle from paper and fasten it with tape on a cocktail tube. It should be centered exactly.
Tie a 5-centimeter length of thread to the center of the straw.
Pass the straw with cork through the holes in the bottle.
Tie the thread located in the center of the straw to the cork and twist it on the bottleneck. It should turn out so that the straw hangs on the threads.
Probably the "bowls" of the scales will be skewed. Therefore, you need to calibrate. Cut a few pieces from the wire and fix them on the bottle caps, so that the “arrow” of the balance shows balance.
Now weights can be used. As shown by experiments, their accuracy is quite high. You can weigh items from 0.01 grams. The role of the “arrow” of the scales is played by the paper triangle, and the “scale” is the thread on the straw.
