Do-it-yourself pirate Nerf plastic musket pipe

Hello dear readers and the inhabitants of our site!
Often, purchased children's pistols and "blasters" are very expensive and unreliable.
In this article, the author of the foguista YouTube channel will tell you how to make a reliable Nerf gun, similar to a pirate musket, from PVC pipes and a few details. He shoots with small foam bullets.

Particularly complex tools for the manufacture of this homemade product is not required. It can be made in home conditions.

Materials
- Steel stud M3, nuts, washers
- Spring, rubber, sleeve
- PVC 2 "branch by 30 degrees
- Cut 2 "and 1/2" PVC pipes, plug
- Crimp aluminum clamp
- rubber washer
- Second glue.

Instruments, used by the author.
- pliers, screwdriver
- , drill.

Manufacturing process.
The principle of operation of this toy is pneumatic. The author begins by assembling the piston. To do this, a nut baits on the stud, and puts a washer on it. It will serve as a latch in the trigger. Then clamps it with two nuts, and installs a plastic washer.

Now it installs a sealing gum, and presses it with an enlarged round nut.

This is what the piston and latch assembly look like.

The author assembles the piston mechanism completely. Puts on a spring, then a sleeve. Then he installs a rubber washer, and bites a nut on the edge of the stud.

So, the author prepared all the other elements of the gun. I drilled holes in the plug, pipe and elbow. Further, it will become clear why each of them is needed.

A sleeve is inserted into the outlet hole, coated with second glue at the junction, and slightly pushed into the hole for better gluing.

A pipe cut is installed in the hole opposite the sleeve.

Then a thick elastic band, or several clerical ones, is put on it.

The author specially wrapped the neck of the pipe with insulating tape, the clamp will not slip on it. She puts a collar on her.

Now sets the trigger so that it gets a tooth into the hole in the pipe. You can make a trigger from thick PCB, aluminum, or plywood. Connects a collar and a hook.

An elastic band is pulled onto the lower plane of the hook.

It remains to install the piston with spring in its place by threading the pin through the sleeve. On the outside, a rubber lining is put on the pin and the nut is screwed on.

You can also take a nut of a different size, because you need to cock the gun precisely with its help.

A plug is placed on the front of the gun.

A 1/2 "PVC tube is installed in the plug hole, and is reliably coated with a second glue at the joint.

Everything is ready, you can charge!

Here is such a simple toy to assemble and manufacture. Range of targeted shooting - about 10-15 m.

Thanks to the author for the simple and reliable design of the children's pistol!

All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

Well, that means they don’t fumble too ... The musket is a long-barreled and large-caliber weapon ... Later, with the development of technology, the caliber has become smaller, the barrel is shorter ... And the muskets turned into guns ...))) But, not the pistols that existed in the same era with them ....

By the way, a quote from the page of this "musket":
The musketon caliber reached 25 mm, and the weight of the buckshot was 60-80 g. The barrel length was 900–930 mm, a total of 1200–1250 mm.

... And this is about the musketons - a shortened version ...

An interesting craft !!! .... Only now, the musket is a heavy long-barreled weapon. Even to shoot from it without emphasis on a bipod, or a berdysh was impossible !!!
And it looks like a muzzle-loading pistol (wick, or flint) .. Pistol, as it was called in Russia ...
But it doesn’t look like a musket ...
