Sometimes it is necessary to disassemble large-sized wooden structures, such as pallets. But for such work the usual mount is not very convenient.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "DIY FixMan" will tell you how he improved the mount specifically for disassembling pallets. The design is so simple that everyone can repeat in a few minutes.
Materials
- Mount
- Ten bearings
- Two bolts M16
- M16 nuts - 2 pcs.
- M16 washers - 4 pcs.
Instruments, used by the author.
- Welding machine
- Wrench, vise.
Manufacturing process.
First of all, the master tried on the bolts to the neck of the mount.
And then welded the bolts to her.
Further, the author picked up a dozen of these bearings, washers and nuts.
Washers are placed in front of the first and after the last bearing, nuts are tightened with a wrench.
That's the whole design is ready! Of course, the number of bearings may be smaller.
Thanks to the bearings, the mount does not "rest" with the neck against the wood, but slides along it. This greatly facilitates the disassembly process. Now it’s unnecessary to make several movements, just one. It also easily copes with disassembling corner joints.
That's how a pallet is sorted out in a couple of minutes.
Thanks to the author for the idea of a simple but useful improvement to the mount!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
