DIY audiotrop

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Of course, many of you are interested in robotics.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel “Soldering Iron TV” will tell you how to make a robot that responds to loud sounds.

The scheme of this homemade product is very simple, and will not cause difficulties during assembly.

Materials
- wires
- Plastic box from the toy
- Resistors, capacitors, transistors
- Chip NE555
- Vibration motor from an old telephone
- Electret microphone, LED
- Two 3V CR2025 batteries
- Paper clips, handle housing
- Insulation tape.

Manufacturing process.
So, the whole robot circuit, which will need to be soldered to the author.

The master will use the LED and vibration motor from the old mobile phone as the main actuating devices. Typically, these motors are powered by three volts.

Robot will be activated for a short time when a loud sound is detected. To select the duration of the response, you need to select the resistor R6, the author has a time of 3 seconds, and the resistance of the resistor is 3 MΩ.

In addition, the capacitor C2 can not be installed, it is needed only so that the robot does not turn on when power is applied, and is activated only by sounds.

Since the scheme is quite simple, the author assembled it with a hinged installation.

Then he fixed all the elements with hot glue.

As a case, it is very convenient to use a toy box, which is usually sold in vending machines for 10 rubles. The master made a hole for the microphone in the lid, and carefully fixed the circuit with glue.

Perhaps the consumable for the glue gun was not very high quality, and became cloudy after solidification.

To the bottom of the box, the author attached a part of the body from the ballpoint pen, and made the legs of ordinary office paper clips.

At the bottom, he secured a positive power contact, and installed two CR2025 batteries. Any three-volt ones will do, depending on the case used.

When the housing is closed, the robot is activated by lighting the red LED and turning on the motor. And of course, it starts moving around the table when it detects a loud sound. The author also recommends taking the microphone out of the case so that its sensitivity does not decrease.

Thanks to the author for the simple but interesting idea of a robot that responds to loud sounds!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

The trigger input (pin 2 of the IC) hangs "in the air" in direct current. It is necessary to connect it with a plus through a resistor (kilo 10 or more).
