If you have lost nozzles from soundproofing headphones, or ordinary ones let in too much external noise, do not worry, this is a fixable thing.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "NightHawkInLight" will offer you a home-made option for creating soundproof headphones that are not inferior in quality to the branded ones.
Materials
- Silicone sealant
- Ear plugs.

Manufacturing process.
So, all you need is, of course, a pair of pharmacy ear plugs, a set of unnecessary headphones and a tube of transparent silicone.
For starters, the original tips are removed from the headphones.
They are replaced with silicone ear plugs. The photo shows that these nozzles are sitting on a plastic rod. It is just needed so as not to lose them, and it was easy to clean. They are quite easily removed from it.
Thanks to this rod, there is a hole in the first two cups of the nozzle. And the third, “deaf” cup can be easily cut off. So no holes need to be drilled!
After such a modification, you can simply put on the earplugs on the headphones themselves.
Then the author makes a small improvement. The fact is that most of the noise does not leak into the ear canal due to the flexible plugs that take the form of an ear canal. But the same sound waves penetrate unhindered through the hard plastic of the headphone casing. First you need to turn the tip inside out.
To prevent unwanted penetration of external noise, the author immerses the headphone casing in liquid transparent silicone.
The latter is leveled, envelops the entire earphone and freezes. You can also close the very junction of the nozzle and headphone.
These two innovations in a pair give an amazing result - musical compositions sound clean and are clearly perceived even in an aggressive noise environment, such as, for example, in a factory or in a workshop.
After solidification, the nozzle returns to its normal position, and the headphones are ready!
Thanks to the author for the simple idea of improving the headphones!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
