I welcome all fans to craft, I propose to consider instructions for making a scooter with a 49 cubic meter gasoline engine do it yourself. The author assembled a scooter rather small, with such a motor homemade It turned out pretty nimble. The author took the rear gearbox from the grinder, and the gearbox is driven through a steel shaft in the form of a piece of pipe. For the frame, the author used pieces of pipes and other ferrous metal, as well as bicycle parts. The homemade product looks interesting, but it is not so difficult to assemble everything. If you are interested in the project, I propose to study it in more detail!
Materials and tools used by the author:
Material List:
- gear from a large grinder;
- a piece of a flat pipe for the shaft;
- round pipes for the frame;
- parts from a bicycle;
- 49 cubic motor for map;
- wheels for a card with a brake system;
- plywood or other similar material;
- silencer;
- gas tank;
- paint for metal;
- digital speedometer optional.
Tool List:
- welding machine;
- grinder;
- tape measure, marker;
- wrenches, screwdrivers.
Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Rear axle
Typically, a scooter has a gear on the back that slows down and increases torque. The author decided to use a reducer from the grinder as such a reducer. The author welded the hub, which he made of sheet steel, onto the gearbox shaft, where cutting discs are usually placed. The wheel axle is also welded here, and the rear drive wheel is attached to this hub and axle.
Of course, the grinder gear is not designed for such loads, it would be nice to put additional bearings on it.
Step Two Rear frame and shaft
We assemble the back of the frame, this is an analogue of a bicycle fork. The author assembled a construction of a round pipe of suitable diameter, a reducer from the grinder will be attached to the frame. To fix the gearbox, the author welded a bracket made of a steel plate to the pipe.
The frame also has an opening for the working shaft.
As for the shaft that transmits torque from the motor to the gearbox, its author made a piece of a flat pipe. We weld an asterisk with splines on one end of the pipe, as a result, the shaft is easily connected to the engine output shaft, designed for this asterisk. At the other end of the pipe is already the drive gear of the Bulgarian gearbox.
To protect the grinder reducer from dust, do not forget to make anther, otherwise it will quickly fail.
Step Three Main frame
We make the main frame, its author quickly made from round pipes. The engine will be on the frame, we make the corresponding fasteners under it. Also, a silencer will be attached to the base of the frame, there will be a gas tank and so on. We weld everything as tightly as possible, otherwise it will hurt to fall.
Step Four Steering
As for the steering, its author decided to use the finished one, the front of the frame from the bicycle was used. We shorten the plug to the desired length, and the author himself bent the steering shaft, as it suits him.
That's all, the scooter is almost ready, it remains only to finally assemble everything, do not forget to put the front brake, it would be nice to do it for the rear wheel too.
Step Five Final assembly and testing
We install the gas tank, you need to put it over the engine to ensure gravity of the fuel. We also install the bottom, for this a piece of plywood, OSB or other similar sheet material is suitable.
Be sure to make a scooter for the scooter, so that the car does not fall and gas does not spill.
Everything is ready, the author assembled a scooter, painted and even put a digital speedometer on it. We connect the throttle, put the ignition control switch and you can go. The author starts off easily, the home-made turned out to be nimble and maneuverable.
The project is completed on this, I hope you liked the homemade work, and you found useful thoughts for yourself. Good luck and creative inspiration, if you decide to repeat this. Do not forget to share your ideas and homemade things with us!
