Motorcycle with two engines of 1000 W



I welcome all fans to craft, I propose to consider instructions for the manufacture of an electric motorcycle do it yourself. For homemade The author used two motor wheels, each with a power of 1000 watts. With such motors, homemade can accelerate to 50 km / h. The mileage range on a rather modest 26 Ah battery is 40-60 km. This distance is enough to go to work and beyond. The author assembled the motorcycle frame himself from metal, the front fork is used for cycling and has a stroke of 200 mm. The homemade product looks great, the only drawback of the motorcycle is that the used lead batteries are heavy, and their capacity is relatively small. Materials and tools used by the author:

Material List:
- square and round pipes;

- shock absorbers for the rear fork;

- battery with an operating voltage of 48V;
- paint to your taste.

Homemade manufacturing process:

Step one. Frame assembly
The design of the frame can be seen in the photo and video. Everything is made of available materials, the author used profile pipes, steel plates and round pipes. Some details will need to be bent, for these purposes the author used his pipe bending machine. To bend profile pipes, you can make rows of cuts, however, this also applies to round pipes. The frame was not complicated, strong and relatively light. In the lower part you need to remember to provide a place for the batteries.









Step Two Gas tank
We make a gas tank for our electric motorcycle, it will, of course, not gasoline in it, but electronics that will control the motors.Also, additional batteries can be placed in the case, but it is better to set the gravity lower, for better stability of the homemade product.





The author made the "gas tank" from plywood, everything can be assembled using wood glue and self-tapping screws. After puttying and grinding, we get a solid, one-piece construction, which will not get water and dirt.

Here you can place a digital voltmeter, speedometer and other devices to your taste.

Step Three Making wings
We make wings for the motorcycle, their author made himself from metal plates. The author made the wings by cold forging, using hammers with special tips. Of course, it is better to choose the source metal softer for ease of operation, even aluminum is quite suitable.





Step Four Painting and assembly
We paint the frame and other components with open metal, now you can assemble home-made. The rear fork is hinged to the frame and shock absorbers are placed here, so that the suspension will perfectly extinguish pits and other irregularities of the drogue.

We put batteries in the bottom, they are lead in the author, but it’s better to assemble a lithium battery from 18650 cells or the like. On lithium batteries, mileage will be significantly greater due to the large capacity and lower weight.



We put on motorcycle wheels, these are converted motorcycle wheels, in which instead of the standard axles the motor wheels are delivered. We put the electronics for controlling the motor in the "gas tank" of plywood. The driver will control the motors with the electronic throttle handle. To save power, you can make a switch so that you can turn off one of the motors.

Before leaving, do not forget to check the brakes, the author does not see them on the video, braking is possible by motors, which is not very safe. Well, you can go, the suspension turned out to be excellent, with a big move. The author started off easily, according to him, the car accelerates to 50 km / h, and the battery lasts for a distance of 40-60 km.
