Hi everyone, I propose a project for the manufacture of electric trike trike. The author used an electric motor along with an axle from a three-wheeled scooter GoGo-SC40. Of course, to find such a motor may not be so easy, but who knows, maybe someone in the bins is dusting. The engine is designed for a voltage of 60V, that is, a lot of current can be pushed into it, which the motor will turn into excellent torque. The author of the trike turned out so powerful that it stands on its hind legs. In assembly homemade not complicated, the frame is made simple and original. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Making the rear fork
We make the rear fork, this is part of the frame on which the SC40 motor will be installed. We assemble the frame from profile pipes and drill holes for mounting bolts with nuts. For reliable fastening, the author also made clamps from a steel plate. We clean the welds so that everything looks neat.
Step Two Bottom
We make the bottom for the back of the frame, it will also be the floor on which we will stand. It is best to use a piece of stainless steel sheet here, fasten it with screws, rivets or weld. Among other things, cladding will increase the rigidity and reliability of the frame.
Step Three Front frame
As for the front of the frame, the author simply cut in half the old bike. The bicycle frame must be welded to our frame with the motor as reliably as possible. We weld additional strong pieces of pipes, and it would also be nice to make struts from reinforcement or similar material.
Step Four Painting, assembly and testing
We paint the car from a spray can, so that the steel does not rust and everything looks beautiful. We connect the wiring to the engine, the battery can be installed in a bicycle basket. We put an electronic throttle handle on the steering wheel, but then you will need a speed controller. You can try to control the motor also with the help of a switch from a screwdriver.
We proceed to the tests, the first time the author "gasped" so that the trike nearly flew without the author. Further, the owner has already managed to curb his wild stallion. The homemade ride is excellent, and due to the fact that the image of the ride is standing, it seems that you are flying.
